A stolen accordion is a mercy if not a blessing. Bottle. Clear deep reddish brown with a fat pale beige coat. Mellow dried fruit and spiced dough aroma. Powerful and warming upon a taste with layers of dried and stewed fruit, spices, drying booze, bitterness and oak. Never too sweet.

Can. Black, a 1/2cm tan head retreats to the rim. Lots of chocolate in the aroma, almost matched by strong dark roast, brioche. Really tastes like chocolate truffles and is certainly sweet but the beer is not overwhelmed and a bit of bitterness has a go at tidying up at the end. Some berries that hint at sourness. Not totally my thing but balanced to persuade.

Can. Clear deep red brown with a 1/2 cm pale beige head that's soon less than a coat. Aroma of brown sugar dough, lots of dried fruits, spices. Has that "big but swiggable" feel that (say) St B 12 has. Toffee, dried fruit, ginger scented dough, lightening bitterness. Another fine quad from Artisan.

2023 version. Black with a cm of light tan head. Chocolate and caramel aroma, roast, some earthy notes, grappa. Pretty much how it tastes. Wonder a little about those grapey notes. Palate is a mite crowded for me. Moderate finishing bitterness restores some control.

Can. Gold with a dense cm of white head that fades. Aroma of rich dough, apricot, ripe tropical fruit, toast. More tropical fruit in the taste - mainly mango - with moderately sweet doughy bread before citrus and peppery bitterness. Perhaps could have used a few more bubbles.

Can. Gold, a ~cm of white head that's soon less than a coat. Doughy and spicy aroma with some citrus and apricot. Carbonation is a bit low for this sort of thing. Gently doughy and spicy (cloves, white pepper) with only hints of fruit before a bitterness finish that grips gradually. Pretty good.

Can. Clear deep red brown with a fat beige cap. Aroma of more dried than stewed fruit, lean dough, sweet shop spices, some roast, liquorice. Even more expansive upon a taste with red wine on the turn, wood, hints of rum, spicy bitterness. Hell of a beer.

Can. Amber with a coat of white head that's soon less. 3- Aroma of light dough, candi sugar, heaps of coriander, white pepper. Moderately sweet with hay, dough, light bread and candi sugar. Lots of coriander but otherwise a calm drying finish. Pretty good.

Can. Amber with a good cm of white head. Aroma of crackers, spices, hints of citrus. Breadier upon a taste with spicy rye, some funk and some apricot before a spicy bitter finish that's not quite as dry as suggested by the aroma.

Sessionable yet moreish is a very weird sentence. Can. Deep clear amber with a pale beige head. Aroma of dried more than stewed fruit, singed toffee, bread, spices. Dryish and fruity. Tastes as it smells with a snappy enough finish. Has a fair bit of the complexity of the quad.
