Can. Pale gold, a coat of white head. Shyish aroma of grapes, gooseberry, crackers. Fairly light bodied, lowish carbonation. Plain cracker and hayish malt, pleasant but modest grassy, gooseberry and grape hop aromatics, modest bitterness. Strong for what it offers.

Coming after Ocho's Old Dreadful, this suggests someone should try to introduce Tasmanians to the concept of time. Can. Very dark brown, a 1/2 cm beige head hangs around as a coat. Shyish singed caramel and spice aroma, some mocha and nut skins. More presence in the taste with mocha, roast, spices and firm bitterness - yet everything has room to move. Dangerously swiggable.

Can. Just unclear rose amber with a dense cm of off-white head. Spicy aroma with light breadcrust, citrus, berries. Dry with hints of acidity. Gingercake, dried berries, spicy bitterness. A little warmth at the end. Interesting and pretty good. Still not sure whether I should have added it as a Farmhouse beer.

Canvent. Black with a good cm of dense beige head. Very Foreign Extra Stouty aroma of mocha, dark sugars, hits of dried fruit. Silky. Bitter, roasty mocha with clean bready richness, somewhat spiced bitterness. Good.

Can says this is now brewed at Shambles. Pale amber with a white hand that fades to a cm. Aroma of zesty grapefruit and bread crust, hints of pine and berries. Like bodied and dryish with bread crust and grapefruit before some pine creeps up towards the crisp bitter finish.

Can, part of the Dan's GABS pack. Just unclear amber with a dense white head that fades to a fat coat. Aroma of grapefruit, kumquat, Meyer lemon with some herbal and caramelised notes. Light bread. Clean but there's some chewiness to the malt. Some orange with the other citrus flavours too. Bitterness could have been higher for me but this is very nicely done.

From a 500ml can on 18/10/2021. Pours an ultra clear deep golden with a big foamy head. The nose features light citrus and a hint of pine. Tastes medium sweet with a decent amount of citrus against a biscuit malt background. The bitterness is reasonably restrained with a decent amount of pine and resin. Full bodied with moderate to average carbonation. This came with really big wraps but just didn't stand out in any way. More than drinkable but wouldn't have again.

Can from Bad Shepherd pack. Pours gold with healthy head. Bit of straw on nose (but subdued). Very much a traditional pale ale, with no bells and whistles. Almost lagerish in its clarity of flavour. Blanced but pretty dull.

Can, 11C. Very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, blackstrap licorice, nectarines. Sweet with a soft rather than silky texture. Caramel, mild roast, licorice, not as much chocolate as expected. Some spices at the modestly bitter end. Perhaps colder would have worked better - it's just a bit sweet for me. Pretty good.

Can. Hazy amber with an off white head that fades to a coat. Very old-school US hop aroma of bitter oranges and pine, some bread and spices. Light bodied, moderate carbonation. Really quite dry but with firm hayish pale malt underpins citrus, weeds and pine. Snappy bitterness. Refreshing with a more modern palate the suggested by the aroma.
