Description
“Sakiškių alus” was born in 2015 in the small village of Sakiškės, near Vilnius. 2020 in late autumn, in the middle of quarantine, after renovation works, we moved to new spacious premises in Smoke factory, located in Vilnius, Dūmų street 5. The new place is so spacious that it contains not only bigger brewery, but also tasting bar with 24 taps and a venue for cultural activities and various events, accommodating up to 1000 participants.

After moving to the premises of the former scythe factory, we change our logo. In the new logo, you will find the contours of the place where we are located, fermenters that reflect our activities and the waves of the river, and maybe beer, flowing in both Sakiškės and Naujoji Vilnia. From now on, “Sakiškių alus” will be called “Sakiškės brewery”, as most of our products travel to foreign countries, and the number of foreigners in Lithuania is constantly increasing. While hops are certainly what our products are about, at the same time, we are a brewery that nurtures the culture of modern brewing.

Can from CBC Liquors, Westford. Cola brown, light viscosity, ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is strong smoked wood (not sure what kind of wood) and plum. Taste is strong smoked wood (again, not sure what kind), plum, late toffee. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. I like the smoked wood (whatever it is) but it is a bit overpowering. Appreciate the wee heavy coming through in the flavor. Not something I can say I have every day but liking the novelty. Mostly it works.

12 oz can shared by tfontana, ty.
Aroma of bold camp fire, oak, weak fruit like hint. Flavor follows with the addition of being able to taste the Wee Heavy base. Toffee, caramel, mild fruit. Smoke is more subtle in the flavor then the aroma. Nice!

A good and juicy beer, a fresh one for the morning. This one is not so sour due to the beetroot, smooth, fruity, yeasty, dry, a bit sour, a bit syrupy, original, refreshing after a long day at the aquaparc, on sunday, 21.07.21, at Epalinges.

On tap at Silver Stamp. Pours a clear gold with an amber hue and pretty much no head. Aroma has notes of honey and flora with a bit of sweet blueberry supporting. Flavor has sweet honey throughout with a bit of blueberry in the finish.
