Bottle. Dullish amber with a large white head. Aroma of crackery dough, citrus and citrus blossoms, pepper, cloves. Some apricot and caramel in the less assertive than expected taste, but it dries out a little towards the increasingly bitter and spicy finish. Hoppy but nuanced. Good.. --- Beer merged from original tick of Farmhouse Pale Ale on 30 Oct 2018 at 12:36 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 8. Original review text: Bottle. At a tasting, thanks, smallish creamy head, opaque black color, aroma of roasted coffee beans, chocolate, spiciness and some berries coming through, flavor of sweet dark chocolate, berries and some ash in the back, very nicely balanced with the fruit blending in beautifully. Very good and original.

330ml bottle into pint glass. Hazy bronze beer with a solid frothy white head. Light carbonation. Light nose, a little grass, a little pepper, some malt, maybe even strawberry. Good lacing. Medium body, fruity easy-drinking. Finish is smoky caramel with late drying fruitiness. Nice slammable IPA with good balance of flavours.

330ml bottle into schooner glass. Golden amber beer, slight haze. Big fluffy head, lots of tiny bubbles. Some lacing. Faint nose of grain and fruit. Easy-drinking with a light body. Refreshing, bitter and grainy with a grapefruit finish. Nothing exceptional but a nice Pilsener.

Bottle shared in our van. Clear golden with fizzy white head. Grassy, light toast, typical NZ hops with quite some dank weeds, light white grapes, canned lychee. Raw cocoa beans, dried cranberries. Crisp pils malts under all the hops. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with crisp feel. Interesting, tastes like it has dark malts though it evidently doesn’t.

Toranomon summer tasting. Dark brown pour, some light brown foam. Dusty nose, cocoa, dark chocolate, lightly bitter. Tastes bitter and cocoa focused, good dusty bitterness, sweet but dry edge there. Bitter dark chocolate. Lightly dark fruits, sweetish. Pretty good actually, liking this quite a lot.
