Bottle thanks to Dave at the 2016 Cotteridge Convention. It pours hazy, dirty gold with a small white head. The aroma is lactic, tangy, tinned pineapple and fruit juice from concentrate. The taste is crisp, pretty damn tart upfront, tangy lactic action, pineapple rings, pickled onion crisp and a touch of celery. Medium body and fine carbonation. I like the idea, but I am left a touch underwhelmed. Perhaps a bigger pour of this would make me a happier man.

Bottle at the 2016 Cotteridge Convention. Cheers! My rate is from the “test batch”. It pours darkest brown –black with a decent tan head. The aroma is rich, chewy, oily, almond, vanilla and a definite biscotti vibe. The taste is bitter, earthy roast, chewy malts, almond, marzipan, hot chocolate, some alcohol warmth and biscuit. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Well realised. Really has a nice biscotti character to it. Tasty.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. Cheers! Pours brown with a frothy, tan head. The nose holds earth, light cocoa. Moderately sweet, with light honey, roasted malts, dry chocolate. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, with further notes of honey, toasted bread, mellow cocoa. Nice enough.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. Cheers! Pours cloudy yellow with a foamy, white head. The nose has limited citrus elements, some lemon, wheat. Light sweet flavour with notes of cereal, wheat, sugar, vague fruits, a little corn. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Drying on the finish with light lemony acidity. Ho hum.

Bottle. Mr. Pickles, Sheffield. Hazy, pale gold. Halo of white. Nose has wheaty, bready malts. Creamy, lactic tang. Notes of fruit, although not necessarily pineapple. I’d have said mandarin, maybe. The wheat comes more pronounced as it warms. Taste is dry, with a soft, lactic tanginess. Light bodied and clean. Light dry, clean finish. Decent. Minimal sourness, which makes for an easy drinker.
