Description
Evil Twin Brewing was started up “nomadically” in 2010 by Jeppe Jarnit- Bjergso. In 2012, Jeppe and his family decided to make New York City their home and join the burgeoning local beer scene. In 2016, Jeppe was approached with the opportunity to finally root his ideas & dreams and Evil Twin Brewing NYC was born.
At Evil Twin Brewing NYC we wanted to expand upon the traditions of innovation & further it with the intimacy of a local neighborhood microbrewery. With more control over our recipes, we are able to experiment on new flavors while perfecting the classics.
Collaboration is a huge part of Evil Twin Brewing NYC & we are excited to be able to host & collaborate with all the amazing brewers in NYC and throughout the world within our very own home base! We strive to be a community space for all of Ridgewood and Queens and our goal is that our brewery and taproom becomes a place for locals and beer tourists alike.
Our Queens brewery has been a long time coming & we are thrilled to have a home where our families, friends, and neighbors have a place to share our love for great beer, food & culture with the Ridgewood community, NYC, & the world!

On tap @ Ghetto Something. Aroma of berries and yoghurt Pours clear burgundy color with thin creamy pink head and nice lacing. Taste starts sweet berry-like with mild coffee undertone, following is yoghurty and syrupy, while mouthfeel is thick and smooth. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Sweet brekafast…

0,25l from tap at Rbabarrab, Copenhagen. Dark purple color, small white head. Smells berry notes, blueberry, black currant, vanilla, very jammy, lovely smell, not over the top. Full body, soft carbonation. Tastes sugary, berry notes, light acidity, jammy, black currant, blackberries, blueberries. Finishes medium sweet and lightly sour with notes of blueberries, blackberries and jammy notes. Nice one, very sweet though. I would prefer some less sweetness, overall quite good though. A glass was too much

Tiny can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is complex, with lots of bourbon barrels, dark sticky sugars, and moderate roast. Flavour has a solid bourbon barrel character, brown sugar, some molasses, and a little roast. Some nice barrel character, but not super complex malts. Good but overrated.

Dark brown. This has a fair bit of barrel, light vanilla. On the palate, there's a nice richness, a thickness to the body. Light vanilla, a bit of chocolate, decent barrel character but honestly I'm not getting 3 years in Willett from there. Fits into the category of "solid beer, would be stoked if a local brewery did this."

Stubby can. Pours deep dark brown with a tan head. Nose has nice roast, bready, decent bourbon character. Flavour has rich roasted malt, lots of dark brown sugars. There's some bourbon character, but not nearly what I would expect from 3 years in the barrels. It's a very nice beer, but not great.

0.473l can. Aroma of mango, peach, orange and melon. Pours murky dirty yellow color with large soapy off-white head, fair lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy tropical and stone fruity, following is yoghurty, resinous, bready and herbal, mouthfeel is smooth, mild spicy and warm, while finish is pretty bitter. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Juicy, bold and not sketchy…

16oz can from Tavour. Milky, hazy pour, thin layer of fine white foam. Aroma is fruity, tropical, lots of mango, melon. Mango right up front in the taste, tropical melon, with some zesty orange peel following. Creamy feel, drying out at the finish. Some ABV warmth cuts through.
