Draft sample @ Kongsberg Bryggeri. Brune, col crémeux blanc-cassé. Arôme au nez superbement bien malté avec pas mal d’éléments de café qui apportent un agréable bouquet torréfié. Le tout est accompagné d’un plaisant rétro-nasal houblonné finement citronné. Palais est malté, plaisant sur le grillé, presque de café moulu voir espresso. L’accord malts et houblons est là avec une petite amertume sans pour cela tomber dans le style Cascadian dark. Retrouve cependant de bons éléments de pin et agrumes, plus soupçon de résineux.

Draft sample @ Kongsberg Bryggeri. Probablement ma moins préférée du jour. Cuivrée,a u col blanc-cassé. Arôme offre de suite des effluves un peu surfermentée, presque sourish, fruits noirs, framboise, sucré résiduel avec un léger malt en rétro, cara voire pâle. Palais est axé sur un côté de baies rouges aigrelettes, pointe de malt et léger épicé. Sucre, framboise et sorte de dms gone bad avec des éléments aigrelets qui ne sont pas spécialement en place pour ce style de double. Le tout est légèrement collant aux lèvres avec encore ce fini paille, yaourt à la fraise.

Palais est malté, peu de caramel, certaine douceur biscuitée en fin de bouche. Le tout est ponctué par une fine note houblonnée fruitée et agrumes + petite note de pin.

Palais est finemetn malté, bien houblonné avec un agréable profil agrumes. Petit rétro malté, pils voire pâle qui apportent une solde base.

Draft sample @ Kongsberg Bryggeri. Dorée assez claire, col fin blanc. Arôme offre un nez levure belge, qcq esters en rétro avec un pointe de plante rhubarbe arrivant en rétro mais restant légèrement trop discret. Palais est acerbe mettant bien la rhubarbe en avant sans pour cela être surfait. Petite note noble houblonnée, avec une levure belge, grains modéré malt pils?, je suppose. Agréable, rhubarbe fonctionne bien et ajoute à ce côté rustique.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, coffee, ash and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long roasted, chocolate, caramel, licorice, coffee and ash finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Extremely boring black ipa but decent stout.

A really nice brew. Lovely stout in my opinion. I was also drinking a full bodied double IPA at the same time. That is maybe the reason why I felt this lacked a lot to be named a Black IPA. Probably wrong listing.

On tap at Café Sara, Oslo. Black with a beige head. Roasty aroma with rather noticeable hoppy notes, dark chocolate, coffee, hints of pine and citrus. Moderate sweet with nice mixture of dark and hoppy flavours and a pleasant bitterness. Tasty and easy to drink!
