The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Quite dark, nice head. Tastes malty and dry, a bit scratchy, finish smoky. Well done!

Bottle, a gift from MiP, thx mate. It pours a nice, clear, copper body with a small, white head. It’s bready on the nose, with caramel and malt. Fruityness as well. It has a bready taste with toffee and a little fruityness. Wee bitterness. More bitter towards the finish, and it continues to be bready and toffeeish. I’m not really sure about this one. It’s nice and drinkable in a way, but on the other hand it’s quite boring. It’s a nice break from pale lagers and boring pilsners though. (080521)

From the barrel at Zeitgeist @ The Jolly Gardeners, Lambeth 16/5/08. Murky pale gold in colour with a decent, frothy white head. Aroma of herbs, sour apples and grassy hops. Flavour was slightly bitter, with barnyard yeast, wheat and a bitter, slightly acidic finish. A bit hard to categorise, but drinkable.

Bottle. A dark amber beer with a thick off-white head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also a light touch of yeast. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, medium notes of straw, and light notes of yeast leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks yespr.
