Can/Fest. A- Chilies. A- Dark gold color, hazy liquid, white head. T- Chilies, medium spiciness. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, spicy finish. O- Always fun to try but another novelty pepper beer and nothing more.

Can pour from Total Wine & More, Brentwood. It’s an opaque black with light sparkle, finger-width beige head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is strong coffee and cream, cocoa. Taste is roasted malt, sweet coffee, cream and cocoa. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth creamy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, nice coffee stout (not sure it’s really imperial at 7.6%) with a nice amount of sweetness to counteract the bitter coffee. I hope these guys expand!

Can pour from Friar Tuck, Crestwood. It’s a lightly hazy brown with nice sparkle finger width off white foamy head with poor retention and spotty lacing. Aroma is strong raisin, date and caramel. Taste is strong caramel, raisin and date with late brown bread. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with smooth texture soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, good strength and complexity for the style. Enjoyable.

Pour is a murkey brown with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malt. Flavor is more toasted malt with a strong bitterness. Totally the wrong malt bill for a dortmunder. This is murky and brown not light gold to deep gold. While it was not awful, it was nowhere near what the style should be.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is a decent roasted malt. Flavor is more roasted malt with a sweet chocolate syrup mouthfeel. Decent but still not spot on for the style. This is more a chocolate milk stout.

Pour is a cloudy orange like a hefe. Aroma is wheat malt. Flavor is super sweet and cloying. Chewy malt and a little bitterness on the back end. It says helles on the can but this is the furthest thing from a helles. Gross and sweet.

Shaker pint draft at Minsky’s in Leawood, Kansas. The pour is clear golden with a white head that leaves pretty lace on the glass. The aroma is a dusty floral with grain malt. The taste is the grain malt, bitterness from the floral and finishes dry with some earth and mineral. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and the earth mineral bitter finish.

12oz can. Head sticks around. Dark brown color. Sweet, slightly fruity malts with a definite weird herbal part. A little sour note at the end if flavor. The bog is ok, the base bee is simplistic and a bit like DME.

Pour is a dark brown almost black with a large tan head. Aroma is some sweet molasses with something like a nutmeg and cinnamon spice. Flavor is some dry brown ale malt with some wintergreen flavoring which I guess is the gale. I bought a single can just for the oddness factor and this ended up not being all that odd.
