Description
We started out in 1996 as a small group of San Diego home brewers who simply wanted to make a better beer. In our exploration, we became obsessed with ingredients—tinkering, testing and tasting to find the perfect balance of taste and aroma. That adventurous spirit leads to award-winning beers in classic and unique styles while challenging our own tastes and expanding yours. We’re proud of our San Diego hometown, our employees, our beers, and our fans. We think of our employees as family, and you, our fans, as extended family. You’ll see us use #BPPROUD as a badge of pride and a way to further connect with our beer loving community.

The nose has elements of citrus fruit, dank grapefruit and sweet malt. This IPA has a lot going on, with some sweetness, caramel malt and fresh, hoppiness. Grapefruit with a touch of orange and lemon with a clinging bitterness at the end. It is a touch oily (in a good way) with a sold blend and laudable freshness.

Bottle pour, almost black. Aroma of char and ash, dried peppermint. Very dry, loads of tannins. Notes of charred wood and peppermint.

It is a really good IPA, all the things that you can expect, powerful bitterness, good quality of hop, malt. 06.09.2016, sharing this beer with Fred, buying it at the ex grain d'Orges, Crissier.

Old rating from 18-10-16 - A 355ml bottle brought in Whole Foods while in NYC. Pours a bright golden orange colour with a small foamy white head which leaves lacing. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, orange peel, citrus, tropical fruits, sweet candy, grass and dry hay. A comforting malty citrus backbone is present throughout with an initial taste of grapefruit, orange, and lemon, finishing with a hoppy grapefruit flavour that lingers, but does not dominate. Medium sweet aftertaste with a malty grapefruit medium hopped bitter finish. Overall, a very good fruity AIPA.

Draught from stomping ground. Poured a nice orange Amber. Pretty fruity hit, clean and cold. Great warm weather brew

Poured a weird pink red from bottle. Malty, chocolate, u guess berries, I don’t know. Kind of reminded me of a beer form of strawberry kwik. I enjoyed though.
