Description
We started out in 1996 as a small group of San Diego home brewers who simply wanted to make a better beer. In our exploration, we became obsessed with ingredients—tinkering, testing and tasting to find the perfect balance of taste and aroma. That adventurous spirit leads to award-winning beers in classic and unique styles while challenging our own tastes and expanding yours. We’re proud of our San Diego hometown, our employees, our beers, and our fans. We think of our employees as family, and you, our fans, as extended family. You’ll see us use #BPPROUD as a badge of pride and a way to further connect with our beer loving community.

Bomber @ home. Firm pop when I lifted the cap, thought it was gonna gush but fortunately nothing like that. Dark brown color, opaque even, towards black, full sized light to medium brown colored head that diminishes fairly quickly though. Aroma is malts, roast, laurel notes. Flavor is malts, roasted malts, liquorice a bit, soft distant sweetish chocolate notes and decently bitter in the finish. Decent body, average carbonation. Pretty nice.

Dark brown, fudgey nose. Light smoke, heat, the chipotle part is good because chipotle is the greatest culinary invention ever but I thought I liked the Victory at Sea base more than this.

Pale amber, bright, but not much head. Grapefruit, orange hop notes, light alcohol, biscuity malt, old school but it hits. C hop plus right?

Pale. Straw. Not much head. Canned jalapeño and weyermann smoked, light pale malt, not much. Okay with the direction here more than the execution. 4

Backlog August 2013 as Yellowtail Pale Ale (4.6% ABV). Clear golden body under a white head. Mild aroma with malt and citric fruits. Taste is quite plain but refreshing, pale malt, citric and grassy hops, moderate bitter. As this was rated in 2013 as a pale ale I wonder if I would have considerate this different with Kölsch on the label?
