Gefunden bei einem Stand der Imkerei 🐝 am Weihnachtsmarkt in Bratislava und gekauft nachdem ich einen guten, heißen Met hatte.
Das Bier hat einen deutlichen Honiggeschmack 🍯 und einen runden, vollmundigen Körper.
Auch wenn es mir in großen und ganzen gefallen hat, war es mir aber doch etwas zu bitter und schwer. Dabei aber durchaus gelungen.

Včelovina Honeycraft Original really. Hot at the Brno Christmas market. Golden body. Mildly oily honeyish and citric aroma, bit floral. Soft, smooth, sweet taste, touch of cloves and herbs in the background, but this is silky and honey-forward, bit citric. Not cloying at all, "just" a well made mead!

Warm at the Brno advent stall. Clear golden. Honeyish oily and bit citric, floral aroma. Soft sweet taste, fermented honey, simple, bit herbal and bitterish, warming. Simple and pleasant! The finish migh not be perfect but kinda helps the balance!

Bottle pour at Mead Museum, pours a clear reddish pink. Aroma has soft floral raspberries, some weird phenolic notes, and wildflower honey. Flavour has some smoky notes, floral raspberries, and wildflower honey. The booze can be felt, along with the leather smokiness, which is surprising to perceive. Good but not exquisite.

Bottle at Medovinárna, thx mcberko! Pinkish red shiny body. Concentrated raspberry, syrupy bit, honeyish aroma. Similar presence, fresh raspberry, alcohol, simplistic, but quite okay. It has its uses, not my fav.

Sample at the Plzeň market, courtesy of the lovely guy behind the stall who insisted I try something before purchasing. Classic pale yellow body. Interesting aroma, not its best aspect - bit of fermenting grapes, honey, slightly funky. Not bad though. The taste is however the Včelovina one loves and respects - sweet, elegant honey presence, rubbing against clean, pleasant wood (you pervert!), Slovak oak apparently, light tartness to balance it out. Yeah, this works - but my heart was set on the Ru. barrel so I got that one. This time!

Bottle pour at Medivarna. Pours clear blonde. Fairly light nose. Flavour has plenty of honey, some oak and vanilla, noticeable burn on the finish. Very good.

Bottle at home. Pours clear yellow with no head. Nose is sweet honey, alcohol, light woody touch, a fairly potent floral character. Taste is honey (duh), nice fruity-floral hint right afterwards and then some unexpected, surprisingly sharp alcohol burn, but fortunately this doesnt last too long. Closes with a warming, sweet finish showing honey and booze. Light to medium bodied, drinks below the ABV. I actually liked this one, nothing extraordinary but quite tasty altogether.

0.33 l bottle. Pours clear copper with huge white head. Nose is faint honey and some smokey notes also appear. Taste is similar, honey-like, but not sweet, followed by some smoke. Extremely long lived finish, light body and soft carbonation. Wouldn't be bad if its characteristics weren't this weak. Still not undrinkable tho.
