Bottle at share with whiskey pairings. Silky jet black pour, a few stray bubbles. Big whiskey aroma, roasty, chocolate, vanilla too. Taste come sin boozy and warm, sweet, bourbon, cocoa, coffee. Velvety body, creamy.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a white head that transformed to large bubbles and rapidly departed. Aroma of citrus and mixed tropicals -perhaps including pink guava. Dryish. Decently bitter. Mixed tropicals with some citrus/pine. Guava? Unsure. Finishes rather dry and a bit earthy. Reasonably complex flavor. Liking it.
Yosemite beer number three - best one I picked up there. Also, why isn’t the wedding badge level-able? 🤷♂️

Can from Corti Bros. Pours translucent gold with a white had. Aroma is citrus/orange and a sort of dankish melon. Med body. It's citrus fruity, but fairly dry. Quite bitter. Very nice ale.

Can from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Gushed a bit when popped. Pours translucent amber gold with a monstrous foamy white head. Aroma of melon and light, light toffee. Med body. Dry. Bitter. Flavor of citrus, melon, pale stone fruit and light roast malt.

Ridiculously deep and dark brown coloured body with a very thin, single centimetre tall tan and relatively large-bubbled head that fades very quickly and leaves only a thin layer of light brown on top, but pretty noticeable. Aroma of canella, icing sugar, alcohol, molasses, pitted fruits, raisins and more canella - very strong in a good way and super rich. Medium-bodied to almost Full-bodied; Rich malty and pungent licorice, anise and coffee notes show at first, but then settle down to a super pungent canella and vanilla note with a lot of sweetness throughout and a lot of earthiness while being almost cloying, quite malty, but surprisingly, pretty easy-drinking. Aftertaste is complex, deep and pungent without being too strong, but showing a ton of bitterness, while there is a lot more sweetness and richness coming through from the vanilla and pitted fruits. Overall, a deep and robust beer with a ton of sugars and sweetness, not quite at the cloying level, but pretty close, with a lot of caramel (of course) and vanilla, while the deeper malts hit nicely too. Good to sample and enjoy especially on tap at hopefully a peak time, while here in town. I sampled this eight ounce pour on draught at Toronado in San Francisco, California on 10-March-2022 for US$8,00 sampled while here in the city one more time.

2018 Vintage (4 years old): Ridiculously deep and dark brown coloured body with a very thin, single centimetre tall tan and relatively large-bubbled head that fades very quickly and leaves just about nothing up top. Aroma of alcohol, molasses, anise, licorice, coffee, vanilla, lactose and earth with a big oaky and barrel-y note from bourbon with a lot of malts here too of course. Medium to Full-bodied; Very rich earthy and molasses flavours show at first with some canella, coffee, caramelised sugars, toffee, vanilla and bourbon all here, but a lot of toffee at the end - very sticky and rich. Aftertaste shows some pungent malts with a lot of earthiness, a dash of nuts and grain and some caramel and just a slight spicey component which shows anise and canella, but a lot of sugars, more alcohol and a rich finish. Overall, a super pungent and deep beer that is a bit muted due to the age and sweetness, but still showing enough, especially on the sweetness front to make this rich and robust throughout without being too thin. I sampled this eight ounce pour on draught at Toronado in San Francisco, California on 10-March-2022 for US$6,00 sampled while here in the city one more time.

Waxed, capped 500 from Corti Bros. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight tan head. Aroma of cinnamon, chocolate, toasted malt, and a touch of hot pepper. Approaching full bodied. Flavor is cinnamon, chocolate, toasted malt and some definite heat, which is not objectionable. Not a trace of hot pepper. Not dry, but not sticky. Cinnamon and heat stand in for bitter. Quite a tasty thing.

Bottle thanks to Denver. Pours black with small tan head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, vanilla, wood, bourbon. Slick body, chocolate, roast, vanilla, boozy finish, very nice.
