Description
WAYFINDER BEER is a new brewery project in Portland, Oregon. We have transformed a 8,900 square feet of a century-old brick warehouse in Portland's Central Eastside into a classic destination for beer and food lovers.
Wayfinder is the brainchild of Charlie Devereux (co-founder of Double Mountain Brewery), Matthew Jacobson (co-founder/owner of Sizzle Pie, Quality Bar, and Relapse Records) and Rodney Muirhead (co-founder/owner of Podnah's Pit and La Taq). Our mission: to bring simple and authentic pleasures of the highest quality to the Rose City and beyond.
Guests to Wayfinder will find enjoyment in our 110-seat taphall, or outside on our massive patio. Our menu of handcrafted comfort food features deliciousness from a custom wood-fired grill. We're using our four-vessel, 10-barrel brewhouse to create world-class lagers and ales for onsite enjoyment and wholesale distribution.

No aroma. Clear yellow, thinnish white head. Grass. Medium body, a little fizzy. Honestly, not a lot going on here. Fairly ordinary pale lager.

Can from Tavour. Pours gold with a large foamy white head that laced a little. Aroma of melon and hay. Med body. Dry and nicely bitter. Flavor is green melon, hay/grass, citrus and some pine or resin. Lots of things and lots of flavor. Good stuff.

From Good Times Oakland, canned August 8th 2025.
It pours a clear straw gold with plenty of foam, long lasting foam, lacing is very good.
The smell is noble hops, bread, toasted malt, a bit spicy, not much sweetness.
The taste is noble hop bitterness, bread, toasted malt, light sweetness which is appropriate for this style of Oktoberfest.
Medium bodied with good carbonation, this surprised me with its goodness. Great collaboration here and I would certainly drink this again.

On tap at Ridgewood, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has fresh grassy hops, doughy malt, and crisp crackery notes. Flavour is super bitter, bright grassy hops and a crisp biscuity malt. Bitter, grassy finish. Excellent.

Can from Tavour. Pours a sort of pinkish gold with a large frothy/foamy white head that rapidly diminished. Aroma does seem rather watermelon and prickly pear. Not quite med body. Kind of watery. More dry than sweet. Earthy/bitter in a light way. Not that it's bad, it's just outside the usual beer world I know.

On tap at Ridgewood. Pours clear pale blonde with a white head. Fresh, grassy nose with some spicy notes. Flavour has dry dank hops, resins, good bitterness, and cracker malts. Nice, the hops come through well.
