Berries for days, medium high acidity, tangy lingering finish.
Rum barrel goes far. Damn brown sugar and berries galore.

On tap at Pye Road, pours a deep dark mahogany with a few pink bubbles of head. Aroma is full of bourbon, vanilla, and jammy berries in wonderful cohesion. Flavour is wonderfully rich, with intense bourbon, vanilla and wonderfully jammy berries — especially the boysenberries. Rich, complex and elegant. This is fantastic.

Bottle pour at Pye Road, pours a clear golden, no head. Aroma is full of high-quality rum barrels, light cinnamon, and a touch of vanilla. Flavour has a wonderful mix of rum barrels, cinnamon and vanilla. High-quality rum and great use of the adjuncts. This is fantastic despite it not really landing in my wheelhouse.

Bottle pour at Pye Road, pours a deep dark mahogany. Aroma is rich, with tons of boysenberries, jammy raspberries, currant and deep honey. Flavour is sweet and tart, with intensely rich boysenberry, tart currant, a touch of cherry pie, and subdued honey. The berries take over, finishing rich, tart, and sweet with lots of depth. Wonderful.

Bottle pour at Pye Road, pours a murky mahogany brown. Aroma has plenty of strawberry, light raspberry, and light vanilla — with somewhat fermented out honey. Flavour is very rich and syrupy, with lots of vanilla, intense oak, treacly honey, and subdued berries. Surprising how much the oak dominates; the berries are there in a miscellaneous sense, imparting acidity and fruitiness without characteristic berry fruitiness. Good stuff.

Flavour is very rich and refined, with big bourbon, jammy berries, honey, sugars, and molasses. Wonderful use of the barrels. Complex and elegant despite how intense it is. Lovely.

Bottle pour at Pye Road, pours a clear pale golden. Aroma is very dry, with light spirit character and totally fermented out honey. Flavour is very dry but complex and expressive, with intense floral notes, dry wildflower honey, and dry oak. Floral and dry, but one of the most complex dry meads I've had.
