Description
WELCOME TO OLD NATION
Those who know what goes into our beer, understand that it’s a modern-day treasure chest. One you’d almost rather collect than drink … almost. It’s the kind of magic that only happens when you honor tradition, throw the rulebook out the window, mix techniques – not just ingredients – and aren’t afraid to fail until you don’t. It’s why our overnight success was more than 15 years in the making. And why we’ll never stop experimenting just because we’ve brewed another “next big thing.”

16oz can. Transparent orange-tan body. Soapy, fading head. The aroma isn't so impressive. Malty, pleasant enough Fest beer. Not a lot of depth. Drinkable, but a pretty boring example of the style.

Canned (from KSM Nykarleby). Slightly hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is citrus, some malty and mild doughy and vanillaish tones to it. Flavour is having quite much the same elements as the aroma. Very refreshing, not so sweet and actually rather tasty. Big grape fruity finish.

16oz can. The new wave of crappy fruit beers rolls on. This is more of a classical golden ale base vs a murky yogurt bomb. Overboard new school syrup extract additions. Enjoyable aroma, hard not to enjoy passionfruit and guava there. Flavors are standard, insipid, streamlined, boring. Alcopop stuff, one for the kids. 60 IBU...huh...not really noticing that but I suppose there is some Sour IPA tone going on as well.

Taster at Downers Rotary GroveFest. Big fruity edge just from sniffing the foam. Haze makes it almost look like a glass of milk. Taste is very nice. Milky again, like some lactose is involved? Fruity ale notes. A slight edge of bitterness meeting bright malts.

On tap at Sidetrack. Pours a near clear orange with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has stone fruit and melon with a bit of mango and sweet grains backing. Flavor combines melon and mango with sweet citrus and light sweet grains underlying.
