Description
WELCOME TO OLD NATION
Those who know what goes into our beer, understand that it’s a modern-day treasure chest. One you’d almost rather collect than drink … almost. It’s the kind of magic that only happens when you honor tradition, throw the rulebook out the window, mix techniques – not just ingredients – and aren’t afraid to fail until you don’t. It’s why our overnight success was more than 15 years in the making. And why we’ll never stop experimenting just because we’ve brewed another “next big thing.”

Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Lime and corn aroma with floral notes. Light to mild bitter, light sweet. Medium body. Not too bad as Mexican Lagers go.

Can from Trader Joe's. Pours a hazy deep gold with a full finger of off-white fluffy foam that lingers. Lots of coconut on the nose with pineapple and citrus notes. Palate is very similar with some tropical fruit pith/skin bitterness, but milds out as it warms. Solid for the milkshake style.

Can from Trader Joe's. Pours a hazy, glowing pineapple gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Pineapple, pear and cherry stone fruit aromas dominate the nose. Palate is very similar with pineapple and pear standing out again. Lingering stone fruit with pear juice on the finish. Muted bitterness. Very nice!

Reviewed from notes.
Can to becher glass.
Appearance: thick orange haziness with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: big citrusy hop tones, peaches and oranges with a little bit of piney hops; light touches of rye floral tones; then some sweet oats and a clean malt bill
Flavor: meshes all the prior noted aromas to a very nicely done bittersweet juicy quality; finishes citrusy and peachy
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable; nicely done smoothness (those oats really do a fine smoothness here) as the rye seems to not effect any spicy aggression whatsoever
Overall: a very nicely done NEPA I would very much welcome again.
