Description
WELCOME TO OLD NATION

Those who know what goes into our beer, understand that it’s a modern-day treasure chest. One you’d almost rather collect than drink … almost. It’s the kind of magic that only happens when you honor tradition, throw the rulebook out the window, mix techniques – not just ingredients – and aren’t afraid to fail until you don’t. It’s why our overnight success was more than 15 years in the making. And why we’ll never stop experimenting just because we’ve brewed another “next big thing.”

Can to tulip.
Appearance: thick orange haziness with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light messy lace clinging to the glass.
Aroma: grapefruit, oranges, pine, passion fruit and a little bit of lemon hoppy notes with a light clean biscuity base malt
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine juicy bittersweet quality; finishes orangey, passion fruity, piney and grapefruity
Texture: medium bodied - hmmmm, maybe a touch under; somewhat sessionable; some smoothness and a little bit of hop bitterness assertiveness
Overall: a very nicely done NE styled IPA I would very much love to have again.

Dark amber wtih large tan head (can was a gusher). Cherry, apple, caramel malt, and orange peel aroma. Moderately sweet cherry, apple, caramel malt, and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Good body.

Can to tulip.
Appearance: cloudy orange color with a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: big mango and tangerine hop tones up front, light piney hop spice with some grassy hop effects; clean malts
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together pretty nicely; finishes with the mangoes and tangerines
Texture: medium bodied, this one's a sipper; there's hop burn fairly noticeable in this one
Overall: clean up that hop burn and this one would be a knock outa the park!

Can to lager glass.
Appearance: dark amber color with a two and a half fingers of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: nutty, toasty, caramel/toffee malts, light earthy/grassy hop vibes
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas together pretty nicely to that nice malty sweet quality; finishes nutty and malty
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; pretty smooth along the tongue
Overall: I say a nicely done amber lager I'd have again.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: semi-bright golden yellow with a light transparency and a two finger white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy to floral to piney and slightly orangey hop tones; light malts
Flavor: wraps up the prior noted hop aromas to a fine bittersweet entanglement; finishes crisp with the piney to citrusy hop notes
Texture: light to medium bodied, sessionable; some smoothness but also some hop assertiveness, not too much though
Overall: pretty good IPA that seems to lean towards the West coast style. I'd bang again.

Can to becher glass.
Appearance: cloudy yellow color with a finger and a half of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: citrusy/orangey/tangerine hop character; mild clean malts
Flavor: semi-bittersweet through the prior noted aromas; finishes citrusy/orangey
Texture: light bodied, sessionable; fairly smooth along the tongue but some light hop abrasion
Overall: for the most part, it does the trick, a nice lil' IPA one could take cans fishing if they wanted to.

Pours hazy pale yellow with a very small head. It’s citrusy and tropical with a little pine. Bitterness is moderate at most. I enjoyed it.

2025 can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a pitch black with a small beige head that lingers. Cherry and dark chocolate dominate the nose. Palate is similar but very one note. Smooth finish that leans into the malt notes. Cherry is present but, overall just OK.
