Can, American Oak Barrels, 9.2%, 40 IBU. 12C. Black, 1/2cm tan head. Aroma is roasty and a bit briny with some coffee and oak. Dryish with liquorice, coffee, singed caramel, oak and firm bitterness. OK, flavours didn't seem to mesh.

Tap. Pale yellow,thin white head. Sour tangy wheat, some spices. Moderate creamy sourness. Yuzu is not obvious - citrus flavours are there but integrated. Refreshing.

Schooner on tap at Dickson Taphouse, ACT. Pours a very pale yellow/green. High carbonation leading to ring of foam on top. Light sweet apple perfume. Nice body, sweet and tart. Nice cider, hints of treacle and apple peel. Finish is dry and umami. It's good.

Can. Pours hazy gold with a white head. Mandarin, citrus, bit of caramel. Not bad.

(Can. 2024 version is 9.2%) Pours black with good tan head. Pleasant aroma of roast malt. Full bodied, creamy with nice fine bright carbonation. Great taste. The barrel aging gives a nice oakiness. There’s rich toffee sweetness and a good measure of chocolate. Maybe a hint of raisins. Very nice.

(Tap) Clear red brown with decent tan head. Aroma of tea and herb. Medium body with good carbonation. Taste has dark toffee, herb and tea notes. Little bitterness. Very drinkable but not very exciting

Middie on tap at Brew Nation. Brown/red beer with thin film of suds on top. Malty nose. Slight zing, good body. Nice lacing. Malty caramel up front, finish is crisp and bitter. Excellent dark lager.

Aromas or rice, orange peel, bread toast and melon. Lots of alcohol in the taste, but it's light and easy sipping.

(Can) Pours hazy golden amber with modest off white head. Nice aroma of citrus with pine notes. The citrus reminded me of oranges, but I guess it must be mandarin. Great mouthfeel with plenty of body and plenty of soft carbonation. Taste is a good hoppy IPA. There’s hoppy bitterness steadily growing throughout the palate. There’s some nice balance toffee malt and some citrus tang. Very drinkable.
