Pairing with my favorite macarons! Lucky Envelope Raspberry Sour Ale (5.5%) with a Sadaharu Aoki cassis macaron. Orange color with a quick vanishing head of fizz and tart raspberry aroma. Light bodied with tart raspberry. Not much depth of flavor on its own. The superb cassis macaron lends the beer complexity drawing out sweet tarts and bright berry flavor. A muted beer starts to shine. By itself 3.4 with the macaron, 3.6

On tap at Lucky Envelope, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out the peanut butter upfront, with crushed roasted peanuts, oats, and followed by a tiny hint of lactose. Flavour is loaded with a balance of roasted peanuts and lactose, with a touch of oats. I could do with a richer peanut butter character. It's good.

On tap at Lucky Envelope, pours a cloudy muffled blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of lacto, with a touch of salt, and bright, acidic guava. Flavour brings out loads of guava upfront, with a touch of acidity, light salt, and lacto. The guava comes through more on the flavour than the nose. Great stuff.

On tap at Lucky Envelope, pours a cloudy bright yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank hops, lots of yeast, and some chalk. Flavour is juicy, with lots of pithy stone fruits, dank hops, and biscuity malt. Juicy and pithy. Tastes better than it smells. Good stuff.

Flavour reveals bright grapefruit juice, citrus, piney hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Loads of grapefruit upfront, with such a juicy body. Excellent.

Draft 12 oz pour to a tulip, enjoyed at Lucky Envelope. Glowing orange in color, soft haze, bright and matches the late evening sunshine. Juicy grapefruit nose, a true fruit. Taste is a splash of mixed orange fruit, and a moderate bitter ruby red. Very tasty. Refreshing long lingering grapefruit headliner. Very enjoyable summer IPA here.

A really interesting lager here, definitely worth multiple pints based on flavor intrigue alone. Poured on draft to a flute at Hop and Hound. Enjoyed during the rainy and sunny combo afternoon. Pale golden pour, crisp appearance, lasting oily fizz head. Straw grain forward nose. Flavorful lager, jasmine takes center stage, but it's not overkill, or too much extra going on. Refreshing lager. Would love to see what peppers would do to this brew.
