Pint can - black pour with a moderate tan lace - nose is rich chocolate and bourbon - creamy texture, though a little thin in body for something so strong - however, it has pretty nice balance and smoothness for something that is supposedly so strong (it drinks more like it’s just under 10%) - chocolate, umami, light tart cherry, coffee, vanilla - the bourbon and oak are understated but present - it’s good, but I’d like a bit more heft and complexity.

Taster at Beaverton taproom. Dark brown pour, clear, fine ring of off-white head. Malty aroma, peat, light sweetness. Taste is peaty, earthy, malty, sweet. Mouth coating and a drying finish. Really tasty.
