About
Lagabière was born in November 2012. Brothers Sébastien and Francis Laganière opened the doors of their brewery in the heart of Old St. Jean, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu. Initially offering only one of their beers and a few beers, the inventory has grown rapidly, offering only locally brewed products. With a capacity of 20 beers in service, the offer is very diversified. Each recipe is original and brewed with extreme rigor. Today, after more than sixty original recipes created, Lagabière also offers a range of imported beers, quality alcohols and a homemade food menu, incorporating as much beer as possible.

En fût sur place. Couleur jaune pâle translucide, mousse beige. Arôme de houblon résineux, herbacé, citron. Goût de houblon résineux, malt, amertume moyenne, citron. Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen.

Tall can (thx, Alex L.!). Pours a clody golden with a white head. Aroma is slghtly dank and dusty with tropical fruits notes, very slightly grainy. Taste is crazy juicy and fruity with lots of tropical fruits. Piney and tropical fruits aftertaste. Whoa! This one is supernice!

Bottle: Poured an amber color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hops with light piney notes is quite enticing. Taste is a mix of huge floral undertone notes of citrusy hops with some piney notes and light peppery notes are also noticeable with hints of residual sugar. Body is full with good carbonation. Well balanced between the flavours with good drinkability.

Bottle: Poured a hazy bright yellow color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some light retention. Aroma of citrusy hops with some tart fruity notes makes for an intriguing aroma. Taste is a mix of tart and somewhat acidic fruity flavours offset by some floral citrusy notes with some clear hoppy notes that are somewhat distinguishable in the mix. Body is full with good carbonation. Interesting beer but I was not expecting so much sourness.
