Bottle as a present bought at a National Trust location. Clear brown coloured with a very thin head. Has sweetened dark malts with bursts of chocolate that do linger in the palate.

330ml bottle. Brown-amber colour with a reddish tinge, tan foam head leaving lacing and aroma of malt, toffee, plum, metallic. Taste is malt, grain, caramel, tart, berry, plum, marzipan, and some grassy bitterness. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry sour tangy finish. Quite drinkable.

Bottle shared at Chrisso’s May 2014 tasting 25/05/2014. Pretty old bottle thanks to Leighton for this rarity. Aroma is grainy, skunky, paper and big oxidation. Yellow / straw coloured pour with a lasting thin white head. Flavour is grainy, straw, and stale grainy and oxidation. Palate is thin and watery. Overall parery and light floral notes. Held up ok, but a lot of oxidation.

Bottle at the chriso May 2014 tasting - London. Pours clear, pale yellow with a white cream topping. The nose smacks of oxidation, with notes of paper and grain. Light to medium sweet flavor with dry paper, slight bitter hay, more grainy sugars. Light bodied with average carbonation. Lightly peppery on the finish with more paper and hay. Meh.

Tasting at the ever gracious ChrisO’s. Light haze on this very pale gold beer, small white head. Light palate, airy and a little dry. Modest carbonation. Papery dry malt, tangy dried fruits. Dry finish. What elderflower? Dross.

Bottle @ Chriso May 14 tasting. Pours clear gold from a clear bottle. Sour aroma, bizarre watery elderflower homebrew taste, odd floral character. Not entirely sure what this is.

The taste is watery,grainy, paper, light floral and tangy fruit with a short, papery finish. Light body and fine carbonation. Drain pour. Grainy and papery......nasty.

500ml bottle. Watery very pale yellow colour, no head and aroma of light honey, sugar, melon, alcohol. Taste is sweet, sugary, light honey, melon, some grassiness and alcohol. Slightly syrupy mouthfeel, surprisingly light bodied, low carbonation, warming finish. Quite sippable.

500ml bottle. Hazy brown amber colour, foam off-white head that slowly dissipates away and malty, fruity, yeasty aroma. Taste is sweetish malt with a sourish citrusy edge, some hay, wood, yeast plus a metallic hop bitterness. Slightly spritzy mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, earthy dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable ESB.
