Bottle, preface this review with the fact that this is super old and should have never been aged! Poured a golden with a bit of haze, head was huge off white. Aroma is coriander and orange citrus. Taste is bitter orange peels with nice carbonation. For being a at least three years old this has held up pretty well for a style not recommended to age at all.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound, Bothell. Another addition to the local haze craze. This one is a little different though. Hazy is one thing. This stuff is thick. Looks like caramel, in both color, and overall appearance. Thin head. Heavy in the cereal grains here. Caramel malt forward aroma and flavor. Minimum hop presence and bitterness. Not what I think of as an IPA, but I’ve never complained about a unique beer. Bold, thick lingering mouthfeel. A little strange. Hmmm.

Draft 7 oz pour at Toronado, Seattle, for the rye barrel event. Justice has been difficult to find for me, but I’ve been impressed with the small sample size. Copper brown pour with a fading head. Very dry. Cherry fruit, maybe some grape too on the aroma. Dusty dry Brett, and grape. Subtle whiskey lingers late. A fun, tasty beer.

This how to makes a sour beer with hours. No bitterness no resin, beautiful medley of tropical flavors. Orange juice mixed with passion fruit. Loght, fruity, natural, and funky not sour. Not pretty with super murky light honey color.

500mL capped long neck bottle. Ruby brown color, not much of a head. Aroma is alcohol barrel scented, lightly balsamic bur not sour, musky. Aroma is malt heavy but flavor is less so with our bruin traditional character with a barrel and whiskey scented sourness. It’s close to a traditonal oud bruin with a bit more sourness and whiskey. I like it more than many modern sourness.

22oz bottle, I think fresh, no date of course. Seems to have just hit Full Throttle Bottles. Poured into old school Blanche de Chambly flute glass. Clear golden color, small head. Well, the beer is what I hoped for. You see, its a nano brewery that has been messing around with funky stuff. Now, its back to brewing a white IPA. Yet, this white IPA is touched by Brett. Or maybe I am getting Brett crazy and imagining things. Definitely a strong, soft wheat maltiness, slightly sweet biscuity bread. Light fruity and citrus hops peak out, low bitterness. The brett is light but funk-centric, just a light herbal brett blanket of funk over the beer. Cool stuff, wish it was a bit leaner but may get nicer with a bit of time.

Draught at Collective on Tap, Woodinville, WA; 8.2% ABV
Dark brown color with no head. Oily mouthfeel, no carbonation, moderate sweetness, stale caramel flavor, low bitterness, light nutty touch.
Sub par, not exciting.

Schooner at local bar. Dark amber/copper color. A sweet sticky and toffee beer. Not sickly sweet but strong. Reduced carbonation did not help. Not sign of spices as I drank. As intended, just a bunch of stuff thrown together.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out a sweet and sour-like quality, with moderate balsamic, dark fruits, light tartness and a light sweetness. Flavour is very well-balanced, with red berries, moderate tartness, a little vinegar and Worcestershire sauce, and a touch of sweetness. Very well-balanced and quite complex. Excellent.

On tap at Bottleworks, pours a reddish dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of maple syrup, a touch of smokiness, and caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, showcasing lots of maple syrup upfront, followed by fairly light smokiness, and caramel. A little cloying but pretty decent.
