Draft pour at the Hop and Hound. Happy Halloween haha. Finally, a Halloween beer that doesn’t involve pumpkin. Nothing against pumpkin beers, but you know what I mean. At first sip this tastes just like a butterfinger bar, but slowly as I went through this, it was turning into a plain solid brown ale with a nice chocolate and peanut butter background. Sweet caramel malt aroma. The pour almost looked like a nitro pour with the appearance. A lot of swirling brown colors with a creamy head. Finishes sweet and malty. If you are going to brew a candy beer, let it be a delicious chocolate bar over something fruity (no offense local brewery that shall remain nameless. Overall, this was a delicious beer that was super fun to drink. Will look for this again. Loved it.

22oz bomber poured into Old Wooly snifter. No head on this beer, no matter which glass I tried (shared with friends so many glasses tried). Its a deep amber orange, thick, no clarity by the end of the bottle. There is a little spit like lacing on the surface of the beer. Aroma is beautifully wild with bretty horseblanket that covers up some hidden pumpkin spices underneath that. The pumpkin is well integrated into the wild character oft the beer. Same in flavor. Nicely finished flavor with a citric and tart finish . Short and to the point. Its akin to JP’s actual pumpkin but has an actual pumpkin spice character that us well placed in the structure of the beer.

Draft pour. Black with cream head. Very different brew with a nutty, maple flavor. Bread and wood finish. Very tasty. Love it.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours translucent light amber with a slight beige? head. Aroma is moderate pie spice. Med body or so. Flavor starts with a sour hit, followed by pie spice, arguably fruit esters, and finishing with gingerbread. Then it starts all over again, This is really tasty.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. #56 of 78. Pours hazy copper with no head. Mild brett aroma. With spice. Med body. Tart/sour brett flavor with veg and light pie spice. Fairly laid back. Nice subtle "pumpkin" finish.

Bomber 139 of 156 from Malt and Vine. Pours a 6 finger dark tan head. Gushing. Color is dark brown black. Flavor is coffee and chocolate with lots of dark malt and I think treacle. The flavor is very intense. Finishes very tasty. And it’s still foaming! Thoughts after some time: It’s very good stuff!

Bottle 51 of 78 from Malt & Vine. Pours ruddy brown with a slight tan head. Aroma is slightly sour malt. Somewhat vinous. Perhaps a bit oaky. Med body. Flavor is sour malt, oak, and finally a little bourbon. It finishes sour and woody. Not extreme, but not light either. Those who want a ton of bourbon may be disappointed. But it’s a pretty tasty beer.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy copper amber with a 4 finger creamy beige head. I get malt in the aroma, but having trouble with hop (too much head). Med to full body (lots of carb). Initial strike is a touch of sour. Followed by rather mushy/blah malt. I’m thinking the hops are earthy/herbal. With time my palate calms down, the sour sinks low, and the hop is more defineable. I’m thinking. Always a dangerous thing I know. (credits to Gaston) Just maybe a little infection from their brett beers. The bomber keeps foaming! SO THEY GOT LUCKY! It’s much more interesting than the old standard APAs. I am now much more positive than I was initially. It’s finishing quite nicely, tho not a standard APA flavor profile.

Good to be #10. Bomber from Malt & Vine. (54 IBU) Pours dishwater gold. White head. Strong citrus/yeast aromas. Flavor is very citrus, but coming across as a Belgian wit to an extent. The flavors are very mixed, but discernible. Tangerine, grapefruit, floral. Yet the Belgian part is not in doubt. Quite a distinct sort of flavor from standard NW IPAs. Different is good.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours dirty dishwater gold with a slight white head. Aroma is funky orange. Med minus body. Flavor is orange zest and some yeast/spice. Tasty. Finishes with the slightest bit of earth. One of the better wits I can recall.
