On tap. Pours a pitch black with an off-white head. subtle roasty nose with some pruney fruit - and an unfortunate phenollic edge from the Belgian yeast. Fairly rich body, mellow roast, again pruney with some molasses kinda sugars. Some heat in the finish. The malt bill is great, but I’m not fond of the yeast and the esters it creates. 110512

Aroma has some roastiness, resin, vanilla and raspberries. Flavour is sweetish with resin, some roastiness and coffee. Nice, although somewhat too sticky and sweet.

On tap. Pours a clear deep golden with an off-white head. Thick, juicy hoppy nose - not all that distinct though. Medium body, sweet overripe fruit, has a somewhat oxidized edge to it again heavy hops leaving a solid bitterness. Bordering a DIPA in character, but I’d preferred a crisper hop profile. 100512
