Draft pour pint at Route 2 Taproom, Monroe. Bright and clean amber appearance, plenty of sticky lacing, thin head. Toasty malt, bran nose. Earthy grains, some bready malt, minimal spice, bold finish. Flavorful amber, more or less standard for the style, but nothing offputting about this. Based on a previous review, I'd say it's safe to assume they figured this recipe out a little more over the last decade. Enjoyed this.

Draft pour pint at Route 2 Taproom, Monroe. Classic brewery, classic hops, classic style. Clean golden appearance, rocky foam head. Crisp taste up front, bold and biting grassy hops with a moderate to heavy peel bitterness. Bold old school west coast. Nice brew, but wouldn't have guessed fresh hops in a blind.

Draft pour at Hop and Hound. Cool to see this brew still coming out at least 15 years later. Listed as Cherry Mistletoe Bliss, but can't find any reason why this isn't the classic recipe. Toasty malts, some hints of dark fruit. Late doughy malt finish with some holiday spice. Really unique brew, and drinks smooth. Didn't think this combo would work, but it seems to be. Nice brown here.

Draft pour pint, enjoyed at Hop and Hound. Fresh Hop season, and just can't resist trying the new ones. A bright golden orange pour, with a moderate haze. Rocky foam head. Liquid hops here. Grassy, garden hops. Moderate bitterness. Absolute standout hop heavy brew, grainy background which is a bit on the nutty side. Pretty good fresh hop, and certainly unique.

Draft pour pint, enjoyed at Hop and Hound. Focusing on local WA beer this month, so a new collab between two locals is especially fun to try. A bright orange pour with a moderate haze. Malt forward IPA. A nutty and cracker grain combination. Moderate orange like bitterness here. Slightly dry in the finish. A nice flavor to this collab, and a bold, sturdy malt backbone. Pretty good stuff.

16 oz can poured, picked up at Hop and Hound. A moderate haze to this golden orange pour, tons of foam head, and loaded with a dusty, still sediment. Nice aroma here, loaded with a grapefruit forward citrus tone. Flavor is a balanced bitter citrus hop and gritty, earthy grain. Bold malt flavors. Remains a refreshing IPA. Nice to see some cans popping up from these guys. A good IPA that has features from a few sub-styles, I'd say. Enjoyed this brew.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. Two breweries that I haven't been to in way too long collaborating. I'll take it! Jet black pour, a tan cream foam head. Sweet-ish nutty grain, toasty aroma. Flavor has a cool, rich milk chocolate, which overpowers the toasty malt side. Sweet, but appropriate. A tasty mocha brew here. Very easy drinking.

Draft pour pint at Hop and Hound. A juicy golden orange pour with a glow to it. Thin, oily, active fizz head. Aroma is a steady grassy garden hops, with a slight lemon zest. Flavor is a similar hop profile. Garden hops, slight citrus fruit, malty background. Well balanced flavors here. As Eric says, "there's plenty to bitch about in life, but why bother? Drink beer, be happy. That's my motto." Eric, I think I might just do that. Solid IPA here.

As "Chocolate Norwegian Death". Ok, Norwegians don’t make death, they make black. Muddy lame light brown with no head. Light chocolate syrup but this goes nowhere.
