Hazy, amberish, thin head. Light, a bit of tartness, vaguely fruity hop, the malts lend a funny toastiness. All told, not bad, but home brewy, not pro level brewing.

Copper, bright, no head, thin, touch of caramel and a touch of alcohol. I’ve had Viennas like this but they aren’t the style’s apex.

Hazy dull tan with not much head, light husky malts, orangey hops. It’s ok, but those malts are just way too harsh.

Somewhat murky amber, thin head. Toasty, with moderately bitter herbal hops. Yeasty and unrefined, but in an inchoate way.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a soft transparent amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a nice pace. Stringy lace.
The aroma had some banana, citrus, Belgian yeast, breadiness, and ends with some floral qualities.
The flavor leans towards the sweet side initially and ends up warming into the clove nicely. Subtle crisp citrus/banana aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fine sessionability about it. Mild carbonation. ABV felt right as the brewer says.
Overall, this was a nicely done Belgian strong ale that I would have again if I could.

Draft pour pint at Lazy Boy. Cooper golden pour with a thin remainder head. Malt heavy aroma. Flavor is harsh and skunky up front. Not very inviting for me. Harsh hop constant over a rich malt. Not really refreshing as I would expect from a summer style IPA. Some metallic. A labored through IPA in the end. Had a rough time with this one.

Draught at Brouwer’s Café, Seattle; as Lazy Boy Triple IPA, 9.5% ABV
Cloudy amber color, reddish, with compact head. Some vegetables in the aroma. Solid mouthfeel, moderately sweet, caramel flavor, and orangey hopping.
Bad aroma, decent flavor.

Vey dark brown, slick looking. Light sweet cocoa noted, coffee is very restarined. Light Belgian plum note a lighter body, a ligtly sweet finish. Cocoa notes are really fun in the aftertaste. An easier drinking Belgian Dark Strong with light adjuncty notes.
