A deep-red beer with a beutiful orange-brown head. The aroma is sweet and sour with notes of chocolate and yeast. The flavor is sour with notes of licorice, wood, coriander, and citrus. The end is dry.

Yellow-brown dense but small head; very carbonated dark brown beer with olive edges. Condensed sweet milk, liquorice and dark malts, very faintly bready nose. Taste of German sourbread, faint liquorice, carbon, burnt malts. Taste is mainly sourish, very little sweetness. Aromatic palate with all the above flavours, medium bodied, slick, ending with burning sensation in the finish. Very good Schwarzbier, stout-like. My bottle claims only 4.6%. Thanks to my habitual Danish Royal purveyors

(Bottle 50 cl) Wonderful smell of licorice (from the added star aniseed) and fruit (from the Belgian ale yeast). Very dark - although not black - beer, unfiltered with a dense, brown head. Fullbodied, extremely spicy, but not too heavy. Loads of malts (six different), one of them pretty hard roasted. In spite of the sweet smell, the flavour is far from sweet. Very interesting and very unusual.

Bottle
Cloudy orange amber, low head. Clove and bread nose. Citrus and spices (coiander, pepper). My bottle was prety acidic and peppered with bandaid - I hope I just got a slightly bad one. Medium to light body. Not much in the aftertaste department.

Bottled. Very dark brown. Acidic stable aroma. Sweet with firm, buttery maltiness. Low bitterness. Could’ve been a good schwarzbier but an infection has ruined it.

Bottle Low head, cloudy orange with some yeast floaties. Fruit Yoghurt aroma. Peachy and mangolike flavor. Light body, a bit fizzly mouthfeel. Tastes a lot like a a peach melba yoghurt - interesting.

An opaque brown beer with a small brown head. The aroma is dominated by caramel, but also contains notes of straw. The flavor is very sweet with light roasted notes and a good dry bitter end, but a thin body.
