Cask pint @ The White Horse Inn, Pulverbatch after a muddy evening night ride in the Shropshire hills. Tasting much better on cask, nice nutty malty red ale sweetness. Very nice. Uprate. July 28th 2020: 330ml can @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, July 20. Many thanks Mark for bringing this. Clear amber appearance, off white head. Malty leafy caramel nose. Taste seems extremely hoppy for a red ale, prominent pine with a good spiced caramel base. Promising initial release from Ludlow's new side project.

Cask-conditioned, on gravity, at the Tewkesbury Winter Ales Festival, 7/2/2020. Deep brown in colour, and murky, with a thin, off-white, head. Rich chocolate notes, some leafy hops, ripe malts and a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Third by cask, on the second day of GBBF Winter 2020, Elgar Bar. Shared with Finn. Bubbles on the surface of a bright golden body, scattered lacing. Promising floral nose. Mid-sweet taste of citrus and juicy malts. Bittersweet tail. Quite nice. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).

Third by cask, on the second day of GBBF Winter 2020, Elgar Bar. Shared with Finn. Clear golden body, dotted spots from a low white head. Mild aromas of tropical fruits. Fruity taste of mango, peaches and ripe citrus. End fruity, mid-sweet. Smooth on the swallow. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).

On cask at Lion. Half-pint shared with Finn. Bubbly, filmy layer to a clear golden body, scattered lacing. Hints of floral hops on the nose. Flavoured with ripe citrus and pale malts. Discreet bittersweet end. Satisfying. (Ledbury 01.02.2020).

8/2/2020. From cask at the Great British Winter Beer Festival, Birmingham. Pours clear bright gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, hops, mango, grapefruit, citrus, passion fruit and sweet malt. Medium sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation.
