Keg @ Cafe Sara, Oslo. Pours dark with tan head. Nutty cocoa aroma. Taste has some initial green apple and nutty vanilla / marzipan notes that’s a bit offputting and hard to persist with. One more sip, and well, something not quite right with this.

Flaske (takk, Hans&co!), delt med Ovesen før tapping av vår ESB: klar kobbergylden med fint skum. Fruktig aroma med karamell, gule epler, noe blomst og furunål. God innledningsvis, men mot slutten (når temperaturen hadde steget litt) ble den litt småsur.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 09.01.17. Clear golden. White head and lacing. Moderate aroma and taste, with lemon, lime and succade. Grass and sourness in aftertaste. A bit too fizzy.

[ As Sundbytunet Red Ale ].Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Bottle. A lightly hazy golden colored beer with a small, white head. The aroma is quite orangey, with some banana and a touch of wheat. Some apple and spice notes. It’s a tad thin on the palate, not bad considering the ABV though, it’s quite dry, and a bit low on carbonation. Oranges, banana, yellow apples and a spiced, yeasty hint in the flavor. Some bitterness towards the end. Easy drinkable, not the typical weissbier, but that might be a good thing. 161209
