The great pre GBBF bottleshare at ChrisO’s. Very hazy pinkish - peach colour beer, tidy pale peach colour head. Palate is light, dry and finely crisp. Very tart raspberry, some lemon acid backing it up. Light floralness,. Pippy raspberry bitterness. Light finish. A bit of shock at first but then it settles down.

Keg at Churchkey. Hazy red, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of tart and sweet raspberry, pale malt, a hint of funk. Taste is raspberry, pepper, funk. Medium bodied.

Keg at Churchkey. Hazy pale orange, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of funk, lacto, pale malt, fresh pineapple, earth. Taste is tart pineapple, pale malt, funk. Medium bodied, juicy.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s and Ruth pre GBBF shindig, August 5, 2017. Whitish pink with some sparse foam. Aroma has juicy berry flavours, raspberry tartness, some barnyard.. Taste is tart, lots of acidity. Very refreshing and drinkable actually. Good one. Vinegar finish.

Bottle shared at Chriso’s and Ruth pre GBBF shindig. 02/08/2017. Many thanks. A peach pink coloured pour with a a frothy fine pink head. Aroma is raspberry berry, doughy wheat, tart berries. Flavour is composed of super tart raspberry, blackberry, doughy wheat, yogurt. . Palate is crisp, very tart, highish carbonation. Lingering tart raspberry.

750ml capped bottle.
Bottle conditioned so I see some sediment in the bottle.
It pours a cloudy red brown with not much of a head of foam even with a vigorous pour. Lacing is minimal.
Smells of sour cherries, wood, tannins from the wine barrel. And cinnamon.
Sour cherries taste, tannins really dry it up, woody notes. Hints of vanilla, and growing presence of cinnamon.
Pretty light bodied, adequate carbonation.
Nice sipper. Not because it’s strong. You know. Them sour beers...
