Huge, rust-beige head, dense, over brown-black beer, with a few strange, small UFO’s. Chocolate, liquorice, dry hops, quite roasted to burnt. Roasted with a faint typical stout acidity. Finish has some chocolatey near-sweetness. Dryness from the roast dominates, however. Well-bodied, oily-slick, viscous feel. Good carbonation. In itself, this is a good beer. But compared to the contemporary standard of Imperial stouts, this one lacks quite some beef. Mille grazie, Gianluca e Giuseppe!
