Bottle 33 cl. Pours a clear black with an orange glow and a beige head. Roasty nose, but also somewhat, chemical and even bordering moldy. Medium body, vague roast and licorice and then again this unpleasant boozy/bitter feeling of added liquor. No barrel-aged notes whatsoever. Just unpleasant booze. I really feel for the poor critters that find this to have " fine notes of whiskey", because it hasn't - it simply hasn't. I so wish that someone could buy you a properly whisk(e)y barrel-aged beers to broaden your horizon. This is so incredibly mediocre or should we call it downright sad. 191118

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a pale, grayish golden with a slight haze and a small, white head. Vague citrusy notes, absolutely no trace of oak nor whiskey. Medium body, some refreshing citrus and some boozy notes as when you mix booze directly with another liquid. Bitter and not overly pleasant. I can tell this has booze added, but again: absolutely no barrel-aged character. A straight, plain APA would've been more interesting. No traces of the funk the previous rater spotted. 191118

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a slightly hazy, reddish amber with only a tiny, off-white head. Malty, toffeeish aroma with no real trace of whiskey. Medium body, again sweet toffeeish malt with a hint of roast - and an even smaller hint of whiskey (but probably only because I know it's there). Doesn't taste like a barrel-aged beer at all - probably because it isn't. As I understood an insider, the beer has simply had Tullamore-soaked oak chips added to the tank, which gives a totally different impression than barrel-aging. Luckily the beer is fairly cheap, otherwise it would have been a rip-off! 191118
