Dates and fig. Some leather. Caramel. Comes together decent. Brown pour with good head and lacing. Sweet and boozy end with some caramelized malt. Tap at Porto Beer Fest.

Bottle 330ml (Cervetoria, Lisboa). Golden colour, big white head (gushing bottle). Some malts, yeast in the nose. Light-bodied. Sweetish malts, yeast, grass in flavour. Yeast making tricks but flavour is not totally hopeless.

Draught, half pint. @Caminha Artbeerfest 2021, Caminha (Portugal). 15/08/2021 [#4.178 Global - #240 Portugal - #2 2C - Arte Cervejeira] Dark brown colour with a small head. Aroma: americano coffee, burnt caramel and toffee. Taste: light toffee, chestnuts and watery coffee. Mild roasty finish. Next one please!

TASTE: medium-low clean sour flavor (lactic-like) with slight barnyard notes. faint notes of orange. medium-low bitternes with a dry and slightly sour finish. PALATE: medium-light to light body with medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: better on aroma than flavor. is it a sour on purpose? we will never know...

AROMA: medium to medium-low hop aroma with a somewhat herbal character, starting to show oxidation notes (isovaleric). medium-low estery background (ripe-oranges) mixed with a phenolic plastic character. slightly sweet and neutral malt background. APPEARANCE: deep gold color and clear. medium-large off-white head with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium-low hop notes with a herbaceous profile, medium-low fruity esters (ripe oranges) and medium-low phenolics (plastic). low cereal husk presence. very high bitterness with an overly dry and bitter finish. harsh. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium carbonation. astringency from harsh bitterness. OVERALL: a pale ale with distracting execution problems and a harsh bitterness.

AROMA: low malt aroma with some toffee notes. medium-low cereal husk background. low yeast and faint oxidized hops. APPEARANCE: brown color and clear with some material in suspension. medium beige head with good retention. TASTE: medium caramel notes, toffee, yeasty and cereal husk background. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium-light body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a british brown ale with some style characteristics but with execution flaws.
