Bottle at Catraio Craft Beer Shop, Porto, 27/10/22. Black with a good sized tan cap. Nose is dark malts, figgy jam, mellow roasted tones, chocolate. Taste comprises roast malts, coffee, dark fruit shreds, hint of spice, cocoa powder. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of booze. Okay sipper if no Ww offered.

Grapefruit and pine. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Decent beer for style. Bitter end. Tap at Coolaboola.

Draught, half pint. @Caminha Artbeerfest 2021, Caminha (Portugal). 15/08/2021 [#4.186 Global - #247 Portugal - #3 Portus Alcacer] Murky yellow colour with a minimal lingering white head. Aroma: fruity, citrusy bomb. Taste: very citrusy, stone fruits and papaya. Sweet mouthfeel. A bit sugary but good effort.. Next one please!

Draught, half pint. @Caminha Artbeerfest 2021, Caminha (Portugal). 14/08/2021 [#4.147 Global - #215 Portugal - #2 Portus Alcacer Brewery] Pours hazy yellow, no head. Aroma: peach and pine juice, fucking tropical juice kind of. Taste: capri sun multivitamin fruity juice. Next one please!

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 8B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L97-201 (BBF 10-2020). AROMA: medium-low to low roasted malt character with sight coffee and unsweetned dark chocolate. faint fruity esters (dried fruits). APPEARANCE: very dark amber color and translucent. medium-low light brown head with medium-low retention. TASTE: medium-low to low roasted malt flavor with a clean character (bitter dark chocolate). very faint to no perceptible hop flavor. medium bitterness with a dry and slightly roasted finish. overall clean fermentation profile. PALATE: medium-light to light body. medium-low carbonartion. no dark malt derived astringency. OVERALL: a very decent schwarzbier.

AROMA: medium hop aroma with herbaceous, pine notes and slight floral. neutral malt background with a slight sweet character. low metallic note. APPEARANCE: gold color with fine particles in suspension. medium white head, creamy, with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium-high hop notes (pine, herbaceous, slight floral). medium-low neutral malt background with a slight sweet note. medium to medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. MOUTHFEEL: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a nice hoppy lager.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style1D). Bottle 33 cl - Batch LAW009 (BBF 02/20). AROMA: medium-low hop-aroma with a citrus character, followed by medium fruity esters. light background of wheat and yeast as well as hop oxidation. APPEARANCE: light gold color and slightly hazy. medium-low white head, creamy, with average retention. TASTE: initial medium hop flavor with a low neutral malt background. low esters (orange-like). medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. PALATE: medium-light body with medium carbonation. slight astringency. OVERALL: an american wheat a bit too bitter and starting to show oxidation notes.
