Pours very hazy dark brown with a frothy brownish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving some soapy lacing and trace on the glass. Smell is fruity and herbal with dark bread, biscuits, honeydew melon, peppermint, pine needles, resinous wood, lemon zest, toasted malts, caramel, lemon balm and freshly cut grass. Taste is very bitter and herbal with crispbread, pine needles, biscuits, grapefruit rinds, lemon balm, peppermint, black currant leaves, resinous wood, caramel, roasted cereal, orange peal and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is astringent, tiny watery, tiny oily bitter and light bodied. Finish is very bitter with crispbread, biscuits, grapefruit rinds, lemon balm, burnt cookies, pine needles, resinous wood, orange zest and lemon zest. Nice fruity smell but taste gets too bitter leaving the beer pretty unbalanced and too harsh on the palette. Not really my cup of beer I’m afraid...

Smell is fruity, malty and herbal with roasted malts, burnt crispbread, ammonium chloride, peaches, mango, honeydew melon, freshly cut grass, dark roast coffee, pine needles, passionfruit, burnt caramel, lemon zest and pink grapefruit juice. Taste is bitter, slightly sour, slightly fruity and herbal with heavily roasted malts, ammonium chloride, dark roast coffee, burnt toast, grapefruit rinds, freshly cut grass, pine needles, lemon zest, resinous wood, unripe tropical fruits, ripe gooseberries and hints of moist soil, black currant leaves, lemon juice and dusty cereal. Mouthfeel is dry, tiny round, dusty, slightly astringent and light bodied. Finish is bitter and tiny sour with heavily roasted malts, grapefruit rinds, dark roast coffee, burnt toast, unripe tropical fruits, black currant leaves, pine needles, moist soil, lemon juice and hints of dusty cereal and sambuca. Nice light BIPA that packs a punch but there are some off things that keep it away from perfection. Not a huge fan of the dusty toasted cereal feel and the roast and hops provides a slight sourness to the taste I would have preferred not to be there.

Draught (Stearin, Göteborg) - Black with a tan head. Coffee, liquorice, fudge and soapy hops in the aroma. Hoppy and roasted taste with liquorice, roasted malt and soapy hops standing out.

Draught (Ölrepubliken, Göteborg) - Hazy amber with a small head. Peach, mango and apricot in the aroma. Hoppy, tangy and slightly sweet taste with pineapple, mango, melon and peach detected.

Black with low brown head - Roasted malt aroma with dark fruits - Good roasted malt body with dark fruits and some chocolate - roasted malt finish - this was good

On tap at Crowbar, Oslo. Slightly hazy deep golden with a small, white head. Fruity aroma with lots of tropical fruits (passionfruit), citrus and hints of pineapple, malt and pine. Medium sweet with lovely hoppy flavours and a nice bitterness. Bitter aftertaste with notes of grapefruit. Delicious IPA!

På Cardinaltreff sep-13: en søtlig ananasaroma, men heldigvis mer bitter enn søt i smaken, som slår inn med en gang - her får jeg straks lyst på en slurk til. Etterbrenningen er det også klasse over (jfr Donald Duck: fyll opp i skapet - kjenn det rapet!).
