Not the right label but who cares. This simple Belgian-inspired ale is SO GOOD! Aged in wine barrels, and it doesn't try to do anything spectacular but the perfect balance is astounding. I loved every sip and wished it were a Magnum. So good.

Another super farmhouse ale with juniper. Karega means chair in Istrian... because these are beers to sit on and see what happens. Lovely stuff. Bought at the Koper tourist center.

The first Slovenian Sahti on the market! This is super. Lots of branch. The juniper sweetness is more in the back compared to Finnish Sahti, which I consider a good thing. Aged in wine barrels for 4 months. Supposedly no hops.

Bitter and a bit funky! Reminds me slightly of the attractive bitterness of a Fantôme, without the crazy stuff. Simple but lovely. Lovely folks, too! They even gave me a t-shirt 😍💜🇸🇮

375ml bottle. Opalescent, yellow-ish, dark golden colour with some tiny chunks floating around; small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Vinous fruity, woody and tangy aroma, notes of oak, white grapes, hints of brine, mustard seed, pearl onion, a touch of grape sugar. Taste is slightly dry, tart-ish, vinous fruity, slightly woody, minimally funky yeasty and tangy, hints of oak, white grapes, a touch of grape sugar, diluted hints of white balsamico, brine. Minimally oily, watery texture, slightly dry palate, fine, scattered, mildly prickly carbonation. Very mild, not overly complex, maybe a tad oak dominated - OK.

Big ole 75cl bottle, courtesy of Travlr, thanks Gene, pours with a clear pale purple pinkie body that supports a thin white head of foam. The aroma offers up a ribbons of cherry like fruitiness rolling into sun soaked masterclass cheese and goat cheese. The taste delivers goat cheese nuanced by bright cherry mixed with lemon and grapefruit. Interesting.

Bottle, 750 ml. Cloudy red with white head. Fruity, funky, some manure in the background, vinous, some ref fruit, juicy, not totally smooth, medium+ carbonation. Short finish.

0.375l bottle courtesy of Hrabren, shared with Ogi as well as him., huge thanks H! Clear rosé-reddish body, some off-white head. Red wine, light glue/wild touches in the aroma, some barrel, tart, lightly lactic as well. Nicely spicy, peppery red wine notes in a sweetish, lightly tart taste, more full than expected, sweetish in the middle as Iznogud writes, minerally as well, actually remarkably fun, tasty.
