500ml @ Sales Force. Appearance: almost black with a beige head. Aroma: infection sourness with roasted malts character. Taste: lots of bourbon, quite roasty, lots of hops, moderately sweet, doesn't taste very infected. Overall: ok.

500mL bottle, pours jet black with a large tan head. Nose indicates a brett infection, as is so common with Quebec BA imperial stouts -- wtf guys? -- there's some roasted malt and some harsh bourbon. Flavour is not mega-infected, with deep roasted coffee, deep roasted malt, and somewhat harsh bourbon. There's a nice amount of hops here, lots of coffee, and somewhat subdued bourbon. Decent residual sweetness to free up the harsh roast. It's got some flaws -- there's definitely some infection somewhere here, as evidenced by the bretty nose. Still, good, but it needs cleaning. C'mon Quebec -- get your BA imperial stouts in order -- why are so many infected?

Jet black brown with a rich light brown head. Soured wine barrel notes and some roast. Lots of woody barell notes and cocoa, dirty coffee beans with some light roast. It's not infected yet.
