Description

Bottle. Pours clear pale golden with small white head. Clear aroma of hops and yeast with a faint note of paper. Bitter taste of hops, a good deal of yeast and a very pronounced cardboard note, lingering on the palate longer than it might be desired. Not quite my beer, I am afraid, although it is definitely drinkable.

(bottle) Cloudy, brown colour with a big and slowly lacing tanned foamy head. Yeasty and wheaty aroma with notes of dark malt, caramel and a tinge of cacao, accompanied by a present fruity touch of dark and red berries, as well as hints of phenolic spices. Mildly sweet flavour, rather light bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Slim dark malty taste with a present wheat character, traces of chocolate, caramel and fruity accents; delicately sweet wheaty and dark malty finish with lasting fruity notes and caramel in the aftertaste. A tad slim but nevertheless a balanced Dunkelweizen. 22.VI.13

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Strawy malty aroma with grainy notes and shy grassy hops. Slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Strawy pale malt character with discreetly notes of grains and traces of sour dough; mildly sweet and slightly bitter finish. Drinkable, not a must. 20.VI.13

Bottle at Bayernhaus, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. Smells and tastes like any other wheat beer really. What else is there to say?
