Description
Stowe Cider was founded in 2013 with a vision of bringing something different to the cider scene- a version that boasted less than half the sweetness of most commercial cider. Once this niche was created to “keep cider dry", demand was high and the location was quickly outgrown. Stowe Cider became a favorite stop among visitors and locals alike. With a move up Mountain Rd. Stowe Cider transitioned into the West Branch Building and combined taproom with an updated production facility. Whether sipping a cider aprés ski, taking a break from a leaf peeping hike, or looking to enjoy some live music, guests are greeted with a consistently rotating tap selection, and more than 10 varieties available to go, no two visits are the same. Head Cider Maker and co-owner Mark Ray is constantly developing unique recipes that you will not find anywhere else. Ciders range from dry and preservative-free to others containing local fruits, hops, and unique barrel-aged offerings.

Golden with a medium sized white head that faded quickly. Sweet and tangy with apple, cinnamon and vanilla notes. Long finish. Medium body.

Can from NY Beer Dispensary.
Medium pale gold, mostly settled, just a little activity.
White wine, cotton candy, lemon, menthol, sweet onion nose.
Somehow, that's exactly how it tastes too, plus some grocery store apple tartness & middling sweetness that punches just a bit of lingering citrus.
Mello, medium low acid, gentle tartness, bold flavors.
This is a great hop dressing on an average cider.

Can from NY Beer Dispensary.
Medium pale gold, some chill haze.
Herbal, slightly industrial, plastic, sulfury nose.
Semisweet, leaning dry. Super vegetal, a little bit of skin, some plastic, lingering popsicle stick.
Crispy, dying back a bit. Some salt, lightweight.
Okay slosh.

5 oz draft. Flavor has a decent amount of apple with a strong ginger presence. I guess maybe I can find some lemon here. Crisp texture. Overall, about normal for a cider.

Sample at the NH Brewfest in Portsmouth 10/14/23. Mostly clear gold with a smattering of white bubble apple. A little dryer than I like but clean and tasty

Tap at Schilling. Pours clear gold. Sweet and a little musty, some dried apples, mild bitter peel, a little bruised apple. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly funky finish, more bruised and almost rotten apples. Not bad.
