Hazy golden and peach coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of pineapple, light malt and a good deal of resin and hops noticeable showing some pine and grass as well, Medium-bodied; Strong rich pineapple and tropical fruit notes show up first with a good deal of malt and alcohol showing through, with a lot of hops, bitterness and funk along with a bit of astringency and punch, especially at the end. Aftertaste shows some of the funk, but mostly the pineapple and grassy notes from the hops with some light sweetness at the end, but showing more hop, bitterness and resin than anything else. Overall, a light sweetness somehow overcomes the bitterness and hop notes, with a nice tropical fruit and pineappley finish showing some grass on the end as well. Nice to sample and a well-worked IPA, but not showing enough depth to make this world-class. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Harris Teeter in Pentagon Row (Arlington), Virginia on 08-July-2019 for US$1,87 sampled at home in Washington on 25-August-2019.

Few cans at home. Slick black pour with a one finger head. Nose is sugary chocolate. Tastes of chocolate, espresso, anise, rootbeer, molasses. Smooth palate. Semi sweet.

Pours a thick black with beige head. Nose has molasses, coffee, caramel, booze, Kahlua, espresso. Flavor has Kahlua, bourbon, sheet cake, molasses. Sweet finish.

Flight at Fat Head's Saloon, Pittsburgh, PA. Pours crisp gold. Aroma is hoppy and fruity. Body is average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is medium bitter, with moderate sweetness. Final is average.

Can as pictured. Hops and hemp, I heard the plants are related. Yellow with a thick white head. Does have a bit of a skunky nose. Taste is big thick viscous venerable hops, terribly IPA hops. Lots of impact here. You know it, whew. Too much, way too much. Who can enjoy so many hop preservatives in a beer? Just asking. Rude straight up and away, gahhhh. Nasty nellifier.

Unexpectedly good IPA from Terrapin, their best in years, an old-school mix of caramel and honey malt goodness paired with grapefruit, mandarin, pineapple. and a firm piney bitterness on the back end. Medium body holds both the sweetness well, while the citrus and pine cling to the palate in the fade. Hopefully we'll see sixers soon.

I'm mildly surprised by the low ratings here. Sure it's not a great IPA, but it had no obvious flaws, just another run-of-the-mill hoppy ale. Which is fine. Mainly citrus nose, a little resin. Light bitterness. Semi-dry, drinkable.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, best before 1/27/2020. Pours slightly hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, hemp seeds, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, honey, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, hemp seeds, and dark/bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, hemp seeds, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, honey, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, hemp seeds, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, honey, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, hemp seeds, and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance; and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an excellent hemp IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, hemp seeds, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish. Great soft feel, and not aggressive. Awesome Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe profile. Very vibrant, juicy, dank, and earthy hops/hemp; with a great balanced dark/bready malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example. Not as much dank weed character as I expected, but fits a classic hopped Midwest IPA perfectly.
