Bottled. Hazy orange brown color, huge white head. Loads of carbonation. Aroma is spicy, ginger, fruity of orange, mandarin, distinct spice. Clean watery taste, hint of caramel, orange. Ends with a dusty spicy aftertaste, bit dry. Strange but nice brew.

Bottle picked up at Dranken Geers, Gent, Belgium. Had this 13-03-08 Pours a hazy amber colour, darkish amber maybe with the odd yeast floaty in there. I get some bubblegum on the nose Loz said rotting vegetation? How we can differ so much I don’t know but I sort of know where she’s coming from, we both settle on there being a mustiness to this which isn’t unpleasant. I also get some ginger or galangal in the mouth but it’s weakish and more than balanced out by sweet malts and molasseses. I quite like this, but it’s quite difficult to catergorise.

ZBF2008: From tap. Pours hazy to murky orange/brown with a lacing white head. Caramel malt and light spiced aroma. Flavour starts sweet with a light toffee like caramel flavour. Subdued spice note too. Light butterish feel and flavour, not distinct diacetyl as such. Ends nice and smooth with a mix of toffee and spice.

From the bottle at ZBF 08. Cloudy brown with lots of floaters. Lasting beige head. Attractive spicy dry malt aroma. Belgian yeast too. I like this. Odd flavours, but this ginger hop/dry malt works for me.

Fully hazy amber-orange, small yellowish head. Aroma’s of chocolate, cacaopowder, green matter, some coloured malts. Chocolate(malt), greenery, some acidity, ends on explicit chocolate. Maybe some honey. Medium bodied, quite slick, the acidity worries me. Still quite homebrew-like, bit it is obviously in its early stages. Actually quite enjoyable as tasted, but what in x weeks time?
