Tulip at the brewery - lightly hazy gold - as high-gravity Saisons go, this one is fairly good - as is often the case, it's a bit sweet, but there are complex phenols of pepper, a little funkiness - a bit overly-acidic late (light hints of acetone) - some sweet tropical fruit - eh, I'm feeling it less as it warms - a lot of rough/sharp edges.

At the brewery. Gold color. Moderately sweet, and alcohol in the aroma and the flavor. hops are higher than many beers of the style.

At the brewery. classic style saison. moderately hopped. dry, some yeast, flowers and hops, and some cardboard, which was the only flaw I noticed.

I had this at the brewery and the reviews make me wonder if the keg at the festival was bad. orange color, lacing head. bright hops in the aroma giving it a citrus aroma and some citrus flavor. Seems lightly sweetened, some like spice and a dry finish.

Tulip at the brewery - turbid gold - no head - nose has rich brett character, wine must - feels flat and lifeless in the mouth - the bittering herbs used in this taste like aspirin to me (probably yarrow) - the Brett and wine character are nice, but I can't get past that harsh and chalk-flavored aspirin bitterness.

Tap at the brewery - 2018 batch - 6% - moderately spicy and herbal beer, with touches of lime, rice starchiness, tropical character - finishes spicy, herbal, sweet - I really can see this going well with a bowl of pho or coconut curry.

Tap at Diebolt - I was pleasantly surprised by this beer - the description made me think I would hate it - the smoke is subtle and the raisin is basically just hinted at - the integrity and character of the beer style is intact - clean, crisp, smooth texture - mild herbal hops - as a smoked beer person, I might actually like to see more smoke, but it works.

Bomber from the brewery - hazy amber - nose of brandy, damp oak, brown sugar, red wine - low carbonation - moderate spiciness, deep but mild booze and oak - finish of spice, oak, pepper - decent.

Barleywine aged in bourbon barrels with plums - I'm assuming the base beer is the Populator - pours a turbid amber with a grey tint - doesn't exactly look pleasant - nose is super inviting - treacle, oak, Plum, brown sugar - low carbonation - oxidation, sherry - strength is obvious, though not totally boozy - mild oak finishes - good beer, but rough around the edges.
