12 oz. can from Molly's Spirits in Lakeside, CO. Pours a crystal clear dark bronze color with a khaki head and great retention. Spotty lacing. Caramel and light hops aroma. The taste follows the nose: Caramel malt flavor up front, with a lightly bitter finish. Smoother and less astringent than an amber ale. Medium body with a semi-slick mouthfeel. Medium-light carbonation. Low bitterness.
Very Roasted.

Now called Boltlager. 12 oz. can from Molly's Spirits in Lakeside, CO. Pours a mostly clear yellow color with a white head and decent retention. Almost no lacing. Standard pale lager aroma. Sweet corn and pale malt flavor with a grainy finish. No frills. Just a decent basic beer. Medium-light body. Medium carbonation. Low bitterness. It looks and tastes like Budweiser, but a little better.

Dark brown coloured body that's fairly hazy and opaque, but not overtly so, with a nice two centimetre tall rich tan head with a light brown glow that leaves a nice thin layer on the sides of the glass. Aroma of brown sugar, molasses, lactose, figs, prunes, raisins and a bit of rustic toasted malt and oatmeal with some alcohol in the nose, too. Medium-bodied; Rich nutty and very sweet flavours show at first with pit fruits, raisins and some molasses here, too, with a strong bit of spice showing some nutmeg, allspice and even light star anise as well, with quite a bit of sugars at the end, with a lot of toasted malt to temper the sweetness. Aftertaste is rich, strong and quite bitter, with the deeper malts and spice notes coming out at first, but the sweetness and alcohol flavours with cream and lactose finish this off decently. Overall, a nice, deep and relatively pungent beer with a lot of toasted malts and oatmeal noticeable, but also some nice and enjoyable sweetness here. Good to try, not great, but perhaps worth it to try, especially if you like porters, perhaps not Baltic Porters (as this doesn't really compare with THE baltic porter - Zywiec Porter), as this is not one of those, which I'm saying as a Pole. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Total Beverage in Thornton, Colorado on 30-January-2022 for US$2,18 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 12-May-2022.
