Tulip at the brewery - deep malt richness , toasted oak, coconut, caramelized sugars, vanilla - the cab comes through, adding some tannic depth and a light acidity - fairly tasty stuff.

650ml bottle from Argonaut Liquor, Denver, CO. Smooth, sweet and roasty with some bourbon, vanilla, mocha, espresso and licorice notes. Heavy and roasty with some sweetness. Pretty balanced.

Tulip at the brewery - lightly hazy orange - tart, funky, with moderate tannic character, dry oakiness - surprisingly dry for the strength - rich underlying maltiness, plum, fig - complex and tasty, though a little sharp.

Clear dark brown - super dry and nutty malt character, complimented by light peppery and mildly estery Belgian yeast character - finishes very dry, with light mineral, chocolate, earthy/leafy character - quite enjoyable.

Vladislav with cherries added - the base beer is already quite good - the addition of the cherry here adds a lovely tartness to the beer that balances out the sweetness and bourbon character, and also adds a lightly funky cherry skin character - quite good.

Dark ruby, nearly black - made with roasted coconut and cocoa nibs, these adjuncts show here and work well with the toasty, dry, rich maltiness - a little spiciness, leafy bitterness, tobacco - light cherry fruitiness on the tail end - pretty good.

Aroma of soy sauce, chocolate, fruits. Soft, oily body, nice rounded chocolate and alcohol notes coming in the finish. Delicious, the elements have really come together in this one.

Tulip at the brewery - thank god for Diebolt - for real, they are the only brewery in the state committed to making traditional BdG and more often than not, they do it remarkably well - the rich, toasty malt of the base beer is present in full force - the brett adds minimal funk, but adds a moderate acidity that cuts the rich maltiness - moderate toasty oak and a touch of cab character - this is a solid beer.
