Pour is a clear tan with a small white head. Aroma is toasted caramel malt. Flavor is more caramel malt with a slight metal aftertaste. Finish is gone is seconds. Kind of a middle of the road amber ale rather than a Biere de Garde.

Can - I love when a brewery is able to pull off a hoppy brett beer - to start off, this beer looks great - huge rock head, lively carbonation, light haze - it looks like a fucking Orval, okay? - funky barnyard Brett brux nose - dry, crackery malt base, with firm citric and grassy bitterness through the middle, coupled with musky brett funk - finishes dry, lightly tart, moderately spicy, and the moderate funky, pineapple, complex phenolics of the brett linger - it’s damn good.

Pour is a hazy dark red with a medium white head. Aroma is sweet and spicy. Plenty of sugar and sone cinnamon. Flavor is not as sweet as I thought it was going to be but it's still a little sweet. Some christmas spices come out after the swallow along with some earthy esters. I'm always game for a good spice ale and this fit the bill with some base beer elements also coming out.

Can - story has it they were fixin’ to make a batch of the Magdalena double pale when the power went out before they could boil the wort - rather than wasting, they pitched in saison yeast - way to make the best of a bad situation, gents - clear light amber - highly tropical nose - medium sweet, with moderate spicy phenolics that couple well with the hops - moderate bitterness in the finish, along with a lingering mango and pineapple tropical character - pretty good for a “happy accident.”

Can from new 2019 batch - like the others this year, it suffers from low carbonation, making it look still and feel a bit flabby in the mouth - the rum is understated in this, but there is still a warmth a boozy heft that tells you it as aged in a spirits barrel - sweet and spicy, with some underlying fruity notes of candied citrus - some cherry and oak - finish is quite spicy - I find it fairly enjoyable.
