Can to thistle.
Appearance: ruddy amber color with some transparency, two and a half fingers of white foamy head dissipated to leave some messy sticky lace
Aroma: some peatiness, soft toffee, earthy tones, grassiness, clean stones, and subtle floral at end
Flavor: peaty/earthy and floral sweetness combines and leads sweetly then has a subtle floral/toffee and grassy aftertaste
Texture: light to medium bodied, between sessionable and being a sipper, peaty/floral/toffee/earthy finish
Overall: it works as a Scotch ale/wee heavy, I'd have again.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown color with a finger's worth of white foamy head mildly dissipated to leave some messy lace
Aroma: brown ale tones of nuttiness, caramel/toffee and dark toast come first then some honey smoothness enters in for balance
Flavor: prior mentioned aromas mesh for a sweet malty semi-roasty quality, mild honey aftertaste
Texture: light to medium bodied, somewhat sessionable, honey, nutty and malty finish
Overall: nicely done honey brown ale, worthy of returning to.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: quickly dissipating tan foamy head, barely any lace
Aroma: loved the way the coffee beans meshed with the oatmeal and gave off a lil' bit of cocoa flakes
Flavor: semi-sweet coffee with semi-sweet cocoa flakes and smooth semi-roasty coffee, super smooth aftertaste of coffee to cocoa
Texture: medium bodied with a superb smoothness with just enough bitterness to edge out the sweetness that could have overtaken the beer
Overall: an absolutely awesome breakfast stout, more than worthy of returning to.

Can from Wegmans. Glowing orange-amber, clear, with lace. Nutty nose, caramel and fudge, figs. Rathe light in body, big brown sugar flavor, low carbonation. Silky. Nice, but missing the richness I want.

Black with lace. Creamy chocolate, light coffee, quite fruity on the nose. Sweet and tangy, fruity, with dark chocolate and a touch of coffee. Light body.

Warhorse Breakfast with Churchill
Coffee Stout 7.5% 38 IBU
Nice looking dark cola black pour with wispy tan foam and a coffee and black licorice in the aroma. Medium to light bodied and roasty milk coffee.
For me, it’s just ok.

Can (03?/25/24) from Oliver's Beverage, Albany. Almost opaque dark brown, ring of head, trace lacing. Aroma toasty, slightly earthy, malt, toffee. Taste follows aroma. Smooth, frothy texture, avg. carbonation, finish as taste.Held up pretty well.

Can from Sam the Beer Man Dark brown bordering on black with a dense tan head that slowly recedes. Powdery bitter chocolate with lots of creamy roast. Not too shabby

Plenty refreshing. That said, the watermelon comes off a little artificial, and is overshadowed by the lime.

This batch was listed at 7.1% abv. It pours dark amber. Smells of toffee malt. The flavor is quite sweet and caramelly. Full body. Alright.
