Sample at the tap room during the "Kindred 2nd Anniversary" on 04/07/2018. Slightly hazy pale golden color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily to a wispy film. Short strings of lace. Aroma of tart citrus, oak, yeast and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of vinous oak, tart lemon, floral yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is moderately sour with a citrusy aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

Sample at the taproom. Clear pale orange-gold color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Sticky strings of lacing on the glass. The aroma consists of oak, tropical fruit, yeast and wine. Medium body with flavors of vinous oak, wine tannins, brett yeast. tropical fruit and doughy malt. The finish is oaky and tart with a wine and yeast aftertaste. Pretty good beer overall.

The aroma consists of funky yeast, plum and malt. Medium body with flavors of tart plum, mildly funky yeast and roasty malt. The finish is mildly tart with a plum and yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at the taproom. Brown-black color with a medium thin beige head that diminishes steadily to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of malt, chocolate and orange. Medium body with flavors of roast malt, milk chocolate and orange. The finish is sweet with a chocolate and candied orange aftertaste. Above average overall.

500 ml bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts the whole glass. Thick soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lemon, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, and light-moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness and light herbal/grassy/citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is a very good witbier. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, earthy hops, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Really great balance of all flavors. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Can labeled Lou-Red. Deep, ugly brownish red with a tan head. Bold malty profile with citrus hops underneath. Some pine and caramel. Reminds me of this style circa 2005. Malt bomb. Sweet finish.

Medium body with flavors of mildly funky yeast, ripe fruit and bready malt. The finish is slightly funky with a fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.
