On draught at the Smokehouse. Completely unintentional that my 100th Barley’s beer is in honor of Woody Hayes’ 100th birthday, but I’ll roll with it. The beer is a murky dark brownish-amber color with a medium creamy off-white head that recedes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt, vanilla and subtle bourbon. Full-bodied with flavors of caramel, dark fruit, vanilla and oak. The finish is peaty malt and bourbon. Good all around.

On draught at Barley’s Smokehouse. Pours a flat brownish-black color with a minimal light beige head that disappears quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and bourbon. Medium body with a boozy undertone and notes of dark chocolate, malt and a touch of coffee. The finish is oaky with a hoppy aftertaste. A little heavy-handed on the Woodford Reserve for my taste. A decent beer overall.
