16 oz can from chalet. Pour is darker pale slight haze, almost like a lighter red ale. Big foamy head settles to a half inch crag. Nose is pine tar sap. Big blast of bitter hops up front, perhaps a little aged with a dullness. Date code is stated kindah different; 12/18 2? Can't figger that one out! This stuff comes across like many eye-pee-aye; mouth-coating, condescending and overbearing. Not only that it feels a little sickly sweet and syrupy. Wish it had more alky content to help me forget this is a terribly on style IPA. Only 6%? Come now, a little more boost please, hehehehh. Yea, certainly a courageous, bold, valorous, plucky, macho, manful, intrepid brew; like most well made IPA. Finish? Who cares. Just glad its over. There, you have it.

Draught @ Beer Run - Harlem NYC. Opaque very dark brown with a small frothy tan head, sharp mocha aroma with dark chocolate, high carbonation, bitter mocha taste with caramel-toffee, thin body, long bitter mocha-chocolate finish. Great brew.

This dunkle poured a deep, dark amber colour with a creamy, tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Scents include ripe fruit, caramel and a bit of alcohol. First swig was a true dunkle. Ripe fruit, toffe and toast most prominent flavours. Finish is lightly sweet with toffee and very light hops flavours lingering.

Fairly hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish, pure white head that fades pretty quickly, all about forty per cent opaque. Aroma of deep lightly roasted coffee beans with a note of cascara coffee tea (the dried skins of the fruit) with a lot of earthy rustic qualities in the nose and a slim kick of hops noticeable, along with a lager yeast. Light-bodied; Sharp and relatively strong coffee bean flavour at first with some light creaminess and some lactose noticeable at the end, along with the rustic earthiness and slightly nutty flavours that show through from the malt as well. Aftertaste is robust and very coffee-y in a great way, with some deep bitterness, but the malts and especially the other subdued flavours make this very drinkable and easy-going, but with a bunch of nice flavours. Overall, a very nice coffee blonde that shows a lot of roasted coffee (not brewed) notes, but no pungent bitterness, robust qualities, deep sweetness or anything else unwanted - this is easy-going, but full-of-flavour. Great to sample and a nice beer on the fringes of the season - and I'm drinking it at the right time down here. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Siciliano's in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 13-August-2021 for US$2,99 sampled at my house here in Washington on a still hot and steamy day on 11-November-2022, sadly.

Super pale and hazy ghostly white yellow and golden coloured body, with a nice four to five centimetre tall, just off-white head that's microfoamed and tops the beer nicely. Aroma of very grassy and super perfumey hop notes (think jasmine and lavender flowers) with a tiny bit of sugars and even some creaminess/lactose noticeable in the nose, too. Light to Medium-bodied; Very rich, dry, grassy hop notes which don't provide much bitterness, but do show the crisp hoppiness, coupled with a light orange and mango finish with some light cream and lactose at the very end with a soft sweetness, heavy dry quality and some very light bitterness from all the hops in here. Aftertaste is rich from the lactose, sugars and hoppiness wtih some smooth floral notes and a good hit of dry notes, especially at the end. Overall, a pretty nice, light yet flavourful unfiltered (I don't feel this is a 'real' New England IPA) IPA that's dry, floral and very smooth. Nice to sample super fresh from the motherland of beers - Grand Rapids, Michigan, but back home in Washington! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Siciliano's Market in Grand Rapids, Michigan on 03-August-2021 for US$3,69, canned on 19-May-2021 'High 5's Over Handshakes' as the tagline and sampled at my house here in Washington on the 1st of September 2021.
